I know the deadline to enter the portal is July 1st, but is there a deadline on when they have to decide on a new school to be immediately eligible?

It would be nice if people that either never post here or just started their accounts wouldn't band together to stir shite in this thread.

I know all this portal stuff happened quickly but it’s time to start re calibrating how you look at recruiting.
Lsu needed game ready infielders if they want any shot at winning games next year. There was no other option than to do exactly what they are doing. You cannot bank on freshmen that are very likely to go pro

The threat of no development time is real! The perception of loading the roster so discarding players is easy is a reality! I don’t blame coach for using his resources but why would any young player go to LSU under these circumstances. The transfers— I 100% get it! The young guys — no chance.
National Championship will be awesome. No doubt that’s where LSU is headed but these guys don’t want a trophy. They want to compete!
I will bow out now since my lack of previous messages negates my opinion and knowledge. Geaux Tigers

I'll be honest and maybe this is just me...CJJ is going to be recruiting elite players every single year. Especially at the SS position. I'll take the proven Big 12/SEC players over the true freshman pretty much every day of the week. There will be guys to be developed in every recruiting class. I'm way more concerned about pitching development.
If they want to compete, then tell them to come in and compete with the best players in the league idk.

Young is all but a done deal.
Player that hit 18 (i think) home runs this year in the portal tomorrow.
Travenski was going to the portal but convinced to stay.
JT told he will be playing outfield next year and considering the portal!

Well, that sucks but smthg has to give btw he, Dugas and Beloso....
And it sucks but honestly a player entering the portal is probably being smart. You can explore your options and always come back, depending how roster moves shake out. We dont like to see it from our guys but I think its in their best interests especially guys like JT and Jobert whos spots are in potential limbo
