My cousins boy has been there since July and has gained 15lbs of muscle. They have been very impressed with the details that Coach Johnson has put into every aspect of the program.

Have they mentioned him pitching at all?

Not that I am aware of. He is still recovering from the fractured elbow. He is still not able to throw. I believe the plan is to have the screw removed once the fall season is over.

Who we referring to here

We may be close on another 2022 arm committing. I think we have some visitors in this weekend.

Kaleb Applebey committed to us today he is a Juco kid

We picked up a commit from from Wabash Community College, RHP Kaleb Applebey. He’s not the guy I was referring to the other day but he’d be another one in the 2022 class.
I’ll have more information tomorrow about him.

Applebey is a true freshman this year, so he would come to LSU as a true sophomore. He was the 5 ranked player in Illinois last year according to Perfect Game. He was on the draft radar for 2021 and is expected to be a draft threat for 2022 as well. He's the 2nd JUCO commit in this class.
Wabash Valley doesn't seem to have their fall schedule up on Game Changer and I haven't found any summer league stats for Applebey yet, so I don't have any post HS numbers for him.
We've been recruiting him for a little while though. I first mentioned him as a target about a month ago in this thread, but he was on the radar before that.
ETA: Applebey is the number 9 rated incoming JUCO freshman.

Another JUCO name to watch is lefty Nate Ackenhausen from Eastern Oklahoma State: JUCO Stats
He was an Appy League All Star this summer and played with Jobert there. Threw 27 innings there, struck out 32. Had a .66 ERA.

He's out of Owasso, OK. It's an absolute powerhouse program with multiple current major leaguers.

ESOC is a pitching powerhouse as well. They had three really high level starters last year. Probably why Ack only had 27 innings at JUCO. I think we’re just waiting on him to make an announcement at this point, if I’m reading the tea leave correctly.

Is he the other 2022 mentioned above?

No, this guy popped up on my radar today, but I think he was a visitor this weekend. Applebey and Steven Milam visited this weekend.
The guy I was referencing was Connor Benge from Texas. I thought he may be a weekend visitor too, and that we were close to locking him up, but I could be wrong.
