No text message. I don’t think they will give me an office over there

Gotcha. I definitely think he wants to go to LSU, but at the end of the day, money talks. Blayne Enlow is a good example. Dude took senior pics in Alex box but the twins ponied up on pick 1 of day 2 and that was all she wrote

D1 baseball put out an article today saying they think we get Selvidge and Moller to campus. That would be a big win.

I read that as well. It does sound like Selvidge is going to play for LSU.

CJJ thinks he will be a top 10 pick in 3 years. That would be huge.

You asked this a page back the reason JJ is recruiting Selvidge so hard right now because he would start in the weekend as a freshman. It would benefit both parties per say because a three year starter in the SEC from the left side could be a top 15-20 pick.
He's not a first rounder right now but he will get some calls in the 2-3 rounds Monday.

I figured his stock was soaring after that combine. He’s definitely a top 100 prospect imo

That sounds like Johnson's primary pitch to draft risks. Bet on yourself and me (and the program), come here for 2-3 years to develop into a bigger money slot and a quicker jump to a big league contract once you go to the farm. And, he has examples of guys that have done that. I'm sure that is a common pitch in the recruiting world, and not all examples fit the pitch...but it's a good pitch.

Portal arm I mentioned here but it never looked like we pursued, committed to A&M. Draft risk though.

Heard anything about Dylan Heid? He doesn’t appear in the top 250 prospects but his numbers are insane.

Project: Are we pursuing Jack Washburn and the Olsen kid out of Arizona (a college in Arizona) as pitchers?

Not Project, but there is some buzz around Washburn.
Legitimate buzz.

Today in an interview Coach Kelly said that 2-3 legit difference making pitchers are coming to LSU.
Posted on 7/9/21 at 9:59 pm to LesnarF5
Yes, he did.
I expect them to add Shaffer from Southeastern and one of the JUCO guys from the Arizona league (dk if the Olson kid can get out of his Arizona State commitment; there's a 6-7 lefty from there who could be in play if he's not scooped up in the draft; can't remember his name), and Washburn is absolutely a possibility.
They've had four kids already in for visits and apparently 1-2 more are coming this weekend.
Like Kelly said in that interview, they are absolutely fighting off players who want in right now. Which should tell you something about just how stale this program had gotten. That's not a slam at Mainieri; any coach eventually runs out of gas. But LSU doesn't have that problem anymore, AT ALL.

I agree, I'm not bashing Paul just saying the 3 coaches from before Paul as HC at least the last few years never recruited. I never heard of Dunn going on the road to recruit so only Cain was the full time recruiter. That's not going to cut it, Cain was good but it was a lazy situation in the past. Not Any More Baws!!! This staff looks like it's about to wreck shite in recruiting!
