He was at the combine. He went 1-4 in the first game he played in. I haven't seen the box scores from the second set of games.
I would guess he'll report to the summer league team soon. Between the high school playoffs and the combine, it pushed his reporting date back quite a bit. But the Northwoods league will be a good test/prep for the upcoming season. I still think we have a great chance at getting him on campus.

Really looks like Turley exploded in the last year. Even in his signing day press conference last Fall Johnson mentioned he was a two way player but most of the comments were about his pitching.

I just see a bunch of clips of him hitting bombs. It looks like you were right the other day though, from what I can tell, that Arizona league is using wood bats.

It looks like he gained about 40 pounds late in high school and through this past season. There’s some older clips of him hitting out there. He always had a good quick, loose bat but he was a total bean pole.

I give the old staff shite for not having a proactive approach to recruiting jucos or not using jucos to get the best available talent rather than to just fill holes.
Merrifield is not coming in to fill a hole, just to improve the roster. Credit to Cain for that. I just wish it was more standard practice the last several years.

It doesn't appear Arizona recruits JUCO either based on their 2019 or 2020 rosters. I didn't see one JUCO player listed.

That may just be a quirk of how they list them. Their Friday night guy, Chase Silseth, was from College of Southern Nevada.
