It doesn't look like we're connected to him. It does look like a juco/draft thing at first glance, but if he's going to a different D1 it will pop within the week probably.
It also makes me wonder about Texas tech's scholarship situation. That's what's driving a lot of this stuff right now too.

Kind of off topic and maybe I’m looking too far into a vague tweet but it doesn’t sound like Brock Mathis’s mom is very happy with CPM and company right now.

Looks like Mathis is playing great lakes league this summer. I hope he can get on somewhere with a chance to get scouted. He may have to go D2 to play right away.

I really liked Mathis. I thought he had a lot of potential and hated to see him go but he got his shot and there just wasn’t any room for him with the incoming class.

I think Lewis has an injury that may be the sticking point.

I added both players to the commit list, sometime after the signing deadline I will reconfigure the thread to focus on 2020.
I noticed when looking up Mathis last night that the JUCO he played at had 2 kids drafted (he is one of them) and double digit players going D1. So apparently they had a good team this season.

A lot of times, not always, when a player strikes a deal, then negotiations fall through they go juco and re enter the draft next season. I doubt he showed up and scheduled classes at LSU and I doubt he even talked to the staff since the draft. I’m not saying they wouldn’t take him back, but that’s probably not a realistic option for him still
