Is he really considering coming back?

I was watching the replay of the game and I saw a Narcisse in a uniform on the sidelines (# 14)

That’s Ja'Vaughn Narcisse a freshman DB
As to OP, I’m stealing this from a rant thread. LN was on the official visit list. This could be a reason why, but I have to expertise in recruiting.

I suspect that LSU still has NLI rights on Narcisse. If he graduates JUCO he automatically gets released from it. This affected Travonte Valentine when he left JUCO. LSU was the only D1 school he could play for because LSU still had rights to him if he wanted to play immediately.

NLI doesn't have anything to do with it. Transfer rules apply. Because he went JUCO, he could play and anybody could recruit him like any other JUCO. The big advantage to LSU, not him, is that if he returned, he would not count as one of the 25 since he already counted. While I'm sure the staff was disappointed that he left, with my limited perspective I don't see why there would be any bad blood that would cause them not to want him back.

Didn't he lose his starting job at MGCCC or is he hurt?
Even L. Scott made JC look easy if LC can't keep the starting job there how will he be able to compete at LSU?

Yes, anyone can recruit him, but he would still have to sit out a year if he does not graduate from the JUCO.

Not sure if he is hurt or not but he is not starting. He is a good enough athlete to change positions but who knows if he wants to do that though.

He lost it, yes. He played poorly in 2 starts and they are starting Lovertich now. He's basically a wildcat QB now, he came in last week for 3 rushes and 2 passes.
I would go to bet he has zero p5 offers right now, maybe even no D1 offers. He would love to get back on board here about now I would imagine, but you dont spend a scholarship in taking him back IMO. Offer preferred walk on.

If he didn't want to compete the first time, I'm not bringing him back again.
It's time to go in another direction.

No, he doesn't. As long as he was full-time with an adequate gpa, he is eligible immediately after he completes this semester. Non qualifiers have to graduate, not qualifiers.

I'd absolutely let him back if he doesnt want to take a scholarship first year. Make him earn a scholarship back. Like I said, not like anyone is busting down the doors for a backup JUCO QB right now.

Kid hasn't seen action since limited time his junior year of HS with his sophomore year being his last full season. Had he not played this year that would be about 4/5 years not playing ball. I'd argue that the kid left because he wanted to compete.

He screwed up and he's now realizing it. If you read between the lines, I believe Narcisse would have seen significant playing time this season, and would have had the opportunity to jump Brennan on the depth chart once Burrow is gone.
First, before the season, Coach O talked about visiting with the Saints to get some offensive tips and how he got the idea to "take 8 shots a game" from Sean Payton. Second, when Narcisse left, he tipped his hand that he "didn't want to be a wildcat quarterback." Third, watching the Saints this year, we are seeing Payton use the wildcat in the NFL with Taysom Hill, as well as seeing some different looks with Hill. Finally, we seen in the Auburn game that LSU definitely has some wildcat plays in their playbook this season. In conclusion, had Narcisse stayed it would have been him running the wildcat instead of Edwards-Helaire, and we would probably be running it a lot more often than currently. If successful, Narcisse would have gotten enough meaningful reps including forward passes to probably win the heir apparent position. It's a shame because I liked the kid; you could tell he was a Tiger at heart.

It’s a life lesson to be learned. The grass is not always greener.

Let him back on. Fatten him up a little and let him play DE/DL
