Still see quite a few people concerned about how he'll play once he returns. Some people are acting as if he hasn't played the past two seasons, which is not the case. He returned just 5 months after his 1st surgery and led his team to the Dome. In the highlights below, he is wearing a knee brace ehich limited his mobility. These clips are all from the playoffs, not vs. cupcakes. Also pay close attention to his terrible O-line and how he's forced to scramble on nearly every play -- can't wait to see what he can do when he has a line that can actually block.

So help me with this, Lowell has had ACL surgeries on both his knees in the past 2 years and there isn't supposed to be ANY concern at all?????

I am not saying he won't be able to perform, what I am saying is that you have a two-legged horse and both those horses legs have been surgically repaired not to have concern would be foolish. Doesn't mean he won't be able to perform just means if you are smart you have a VERY good backup plan in place.

Would rather have an elite DT, DE, or LB over a left-handed, twice injured QB of which we have plenty.

You already lost your shoes, don't act like you have money to bet on anything

We love the guy. His knee will be fine, we just chat about whether it will be 100% in the fall. Either way, he'll be awesome.

ACL history doesn't scare me one bit. Kids need to make choices that fit their skill-set the best. His commitment to a pro-style system in lieu of the fact that Auburn (an other systems) fit his DT abilities better has always been a head scratcher. Now that we don't know who the OC will be, kid has to exercise due diligence.

I want to see him in P&G, but ultimately I'd want to see whats best for the kid. He needs to figure who the OC is going to be, and make a decision.

I apologize if my OP was unclear. I definitely understand the concern regarding him staying healthy. I, too, have that same concern. My post was more geared toward those who are concerned with HOW he will perform when he returns. Many posters seem to be unaware that he did in fact return after his first injury and played throughout the playoffs, the remainder of the spring, and the 7-on-7 circuit, as well as the camps. The reason why I posted the video was to show how he came back just 5 months after the tear and still performed at an extremely high level. The 2nd tear isn't as bad, so I expect him to perform just as well. He's going to redshirt anyway, so it's not like he has to be game-reasy next fall. So while I am concerned slightly about his ability to stay healthy, I'm not concerned at all about how he will perform when he actually plays.

Thanks to those of you voicing words of encouragement and support. Sad that some fans are so hateful and resentful and don't even want to give him a chance.

I think if Lowell isn't injured the last 2 seasons essentially, people are talking him up more than Brennan, as good as Brennan has been, Lowell has the same tools PLUS the ability to run AND has a college ready frame already.

He's the exact QB Orgeron wants to work with in a spread, because if the OL doesn't hold up (which we've seen this happen against the same team every year recently...), he can make plays happen with his feet. Heck, look at his film and he does it all the time in it.

That all being said, it's incredibly worrisome this kid is coming off 2 ACL tears in the last 2 years. I hope we get him in and get him redshirted and properly bring him along.

I watched him in the 2015 playoff run. The kid should not have come back. He was dynamic, but not at 100%. I watched him the dome and felt bad for him. He is a special talent. I watched him limping during the playoffs and the state championship. St. James HS school should have done what was in his best interest and kept him off the field. He needs that full year rather than coaches throwing him back into the fire. I think he is going to be special - IN THE RIGHT SYSTEM.
