How would you feel if we lost John Emery but got what Moo state would think would be a lock in Nathan Pickering?

(Obviously not as good as getting both)

Emery's fear of competing is alarming

Lose Emery, gain Pickering AND get Cain, I would still be pretty darn happy with that.

I like Davis a lot and think he's one of the top 5 backs in the country so losing Emery wouldn't hurt all that much. Plus if we don't get Emery, which we still may, even if he chooses another school now, we still have a great shot with Cain.

I hope this staff is out there recruiting others just as hard. This is a position that we can recruit nation wide and none are that important that we shouldn't be going after others just as hard or harder. T-rob needs to get on his game man. We should have OOS RBs knocking the door down trying to get in here.

There are plenty of other backs out there. Go identify some and get on it. Unless they just feel that Emery is slow playing things and we can get him late like Chase. I think Cain is similar to what Davis does and Emery would be a great change in style which is why the staff likes him so much but there are others out there.

LSU is in on way more elite DL than running backs so I wouldn’t make that trade. I really want LSU to land Emery because he is just a game breaker.

I agree with you 100%. If Emery has told schools he wants to be the only RB in the class that is a bad sign. Didn't that happen with Cam Akers? That is one of the reasons LSU is a little short of depth at RB. We lost a good RB to Clemson because we played games with Akers.

Tell Emery Adios and go get at least 2 RBs in this class.

LF just ran for a 1000 in the nfl. Helped his team make the playoffs. Guice, very well may do the same thing. If he does and Emery still sticks with moo state, that should tell you all you need to know about emery.

Yep. Emery is scared he won’t be the big dog on campus.

I would gladly trade Emery for Pickering. I'm a big Tyrion Davis guy.

He's had it both ways. He wants to be the only guy so he can be the bell cow, but has also said he wants to go somewhere with a stable of backs so he can have a long NFL career.

I still hate to lose Emery. Him and Davis would be a better 1-2 punch than Chubb/Michel.

I know people say, scared of competition, but he also wouldn't be the only one in the Miss St backfield either. Kylin Hill was only a freshman last year and will be the starter in 2019.

I'll take a top DL any day over a RB. The trenches are where we Been getting our butts whipped and can use any help we can get.

This right here. LSU can and will continue to stack DL, but the RB position ebbs and flows with what we have in state. We haven't gotten a top back out of state since Spencer Ware, and although I like Cain, I think he's similar to Davis, and I see Davis as the much better back. Emery's play style and Davis's play style will destroy the SEC.

I think Emery is a game changer and the best back in the class. But I'm very bullish on him compared to others.

Really hope we can sway him. Isn't his girlfriend or something going to MSU as well?

Hopefully MSU picks up another RB too and pisses him off.

This x100. Much as I love LF and DG, if we would have had the players to control the LOS, we are in a lot better shape in games that count (i.e. bama).
