LSU drops out of the mix 4-star RB Harold Joiner
quote:

“It was going to be LSU. I was [supposed to commit], but they stopped talking to me and I don’t know why,” Joiner told SEC Country at U.S. Army Game practice on Monday. “I was shocked, kind of heartbroken. I was ready to go to that school, but I guess they didn’t want me.”

My guess is him waiting had his spot taken by one of the other backs.

Don't wait and play games kid.

For sure. He was kind of all over the place last summer. At one point he even had Michigan State as his leader.

Too bad. He seems like a decent kid and a good athlete.

Not a good look for LSU. Jmo

At least communicate with the player and tell him that you are out of slots.

What about all those Ole Miss crystal balls?

I don’t like O, but he was very forward about signing early or losing your spot! He and Watkins gambled and lost! Sorry!

Dumbass don't believe the 18yo kid, he had a spot and they wanted him committed and signed before Dec 20. He knew if not then they'd move on, he called their bluff and they moved on. Hes full of crap acting like LSU just dropped him all of a sudden! If he wanted to be here he'd be here!

Dog eat dog world. He should’ve been committed or at least given the staff a silent commitment. Sad but that’s on him but anyways on to the next 4 commits.

He was stringing us along. I don't blame our staff at all.

It is Joiner's fault for waiting so long to commit. Some of these guys think they can get their asses kissed until the last minute. He had his chance and he blew it. That being said, who will we have at RB next year? The worst RB depth chart in memory.

LSU doing what they did when the wanted Fornette, not signing many RB's in this class in the hopes of hitting homeruns next year with in state talent. And we definitely have in state talent at RB next year

I like that the early signing period has given some power back to the schools. Before, teams were at the mercy of these 18-year old players. Teams never knew for sure what they had as commits flipped and so on. You'd think you'd maybe 2 RBs and both could flip and you'd have nothing, leaving you in a real spot. Now, if you want in, better sign early or you might be the one left holding. I like it!

It’s been stated several times, but this kid had several chances and wanted to continue playing games. Him being heart broken is laughable.

Not really. These kids are immature and have been pampered their whole life. Hard lesson to learn.

I'm here at the UA All-American game and I asked around and was told it will take a miracle for Joiner to make his grades.

He is wants to play RB and nothing else but most SEC schools see him as a LB or TE.I was told only two schools are on him as RB and only one was an SEC school,Ole Miss.

I agree. I thought Orgeron was more straight up than that in recruiting. Guess he's not.

He was pretty straight up when he told them they needed to commit because he wanted players who wanted to play for LSU or they would get left out.

Yeah. I regret making that post without knowing all of the facts. Orgeron might have told him exactly what you said and then when Joiner didn't commit, just dropped him and didn't look back.

I think Joiner is going to be a good one, but I love Curry and think CEH is going to open some eyes next year.
