Looks like Coach Kelly takes what he wants, doesn’t let up

Kelly ups the salary of top level assistants, top recruiters and fitness coaches that he wants at LSU. Grabs the top Olineman from the portal. In a very short time, gets LSU the top class from the portal, and is still wanting to get more, looking to grab Caleb Williams, Citizen, Matthews and Lewis.
Some LSU fans were questioning what LSU’s new football coach up to since we hadn’t heard much. Kelly’s like the LSU and Cincy silent assassin Joe Burrow, never happy with what he’s done, wants more. Woodward’s home run hire!

That's just a rumor some nut started. He not even considering lsu. There no real evidence that says this any where besides one guy that don't know squat

BK is putting together a nice class from the portal. We definitely need some of those guys to play immediately, hence the Kansas St. game. However, I'm taking a very cautious approach to see how this shakes out. HS recruits rarely expect to see the field immediately. They have the advantage of being coached up usually a year or two before they get on the field. I don't think portal players transfer to sit the bench and "wait their turn" or expect to be used sparingly. That can lead to major issues. Also, bringing a guy in and putting him on the field over a guy that committed to you out of HS and has been patiently waiting for his opportunity will be one of those issues. Taking more than just a couple or so portal players can be tricky.

While I don't think we get Caleb. I highly doubt it's just a rumor he's considering here. Look at our offense and tell me he doesn't have more weapons here than he would have at USC or OU. We have no loyalty to Brennan at all and given his injury history why not attempt to bring in another QB. And he's clearly the best in portal by a longshot.

Caleb Williams to LSU makes no BK sense. This is what O would do and he proved he couldn’t manage the roster. If you bring in Williams you forfeit the future of LSU football. BK isn’t stupid.

Whoever gets PT on saturdays earns it monday thru friday on the practice field. The players know who the best players are. As long as BK gives the most game time to the best players there shouldn't be a problem.

You risk losing Howard to the portal. You certainly lose Brennan. You are left with a shallow QB room again. No QB will trust BK in the future. Despite the hype surrounding Williams, Brennan and Walker are better choices for LSU.
