Found it quite interesting how many 4 and 5 star recruits are on this list. I recognize at least 40% of the names.

Yep, the recruits of Christmas past are now the nfl draft entrants of the present.
That class brings me back to " storm on the lake". We were all excited in thinking for sure we were landing commitments from storm Johnson, and lache seastrunk. Same year as Florida trio, debose, and that mammoth dt Jamarcus mcfarland from tx that went to Oklahoma, I believe. Man recruiting is full circle and unpredictable

Remember how upset everyone one was about losing seastrunk? Lulz
Goes to show that losing a guy or two is not the end of the world.

To be fair, Seastrunk was great the last couple of seasons.
The Miami trio was a bust and I haven't heard much about McFarland.
Assuming most of these guys go in the first three rounds, then this year is shaping up for being a good year for the services.

The Storm Johnson saga was absurd.

I remember the Bryce Brown debacle. That was funny. At least he's a decent pro now

The funny thing is that some of these players probably didn't get any thing near a third round projection. With the rookie deals in place, the players second contract is where the money is going to be had. Therefore, why stay in school when you can go make minimum, or be on a practice squad, and be a year closer to your second contract.
People on TD want to make it sound like its an LSU thing but its the new way now in college football.

uh...Seastrunk has been ballin' at Baylor
He was on some Heisman lists mid season

For now the fans are the real losers, in terms of enjoying the development of their favorite college team towards a NC. But as this process develops further, the fans will lose more interest and the money will begin to dry up somewhat...then the pain will be spread more evenly...the players and the administrations will get their share of grief in the long run...jmho...hide and watch!

I think he's saying we've been fine without him...at least that's what I took from it.

The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft is upon us. It looks like we’ll have a record 92 (at minimum) declarations this year, easily topping last year’s record of 73. This draft should be among the most talent-laden in recent history.
Why the sudden exodus? Blame the new rookie wage scale, which rewards less money to first round draft picks and delays the big payout until a player’s second contract. That means the more time spent in the league, the better. A lot of these players want to get moving on proving themselves, even if they are a late round pick at the start.
Who knew?

It is interesting that while Alabama leads in #1 recruiting classes they are not at the top of this list..
Our Tigers top the list two years in a row with a record 17 Jr's to the NFL
this has to be frustrating for LSU coaches...because this year could have been a MNC type team with the defense in tacked...
Next year the O will struggle... so another 9-3 type team IMHO...
2015 team could be special

And this is why adult fans will continue to lose a degree of interest...no consistency, no chemistry and cohesion, hap-hazard play, no identity with players--here today, gone tomorrow--and never hear from most of them ever again...in other words, the college amateur game is gone for now...there is little if any connection between the fans and the players...even LSU graduates are beginning to see the disconnect...jmho...

Overreact much?

I've never been more interested in CFB. NFL is what I no longer find as interesting.

Right, ST freshman year, rotation as a soph, start 1 year as a Jr then go. Yes it is 1 year but it is almost 50% of playing time at the university

A lot of future undrafted free agents on the list.
