I was blown away by how much scott knew about other kids in this class.super smart kid. I really want to see what he can do on the field!

for being an 18 (17!) year kid, he sure does speak and carry himself very well. It seems to come naturally. To me, that's special
He was accepted to Harvard. He's smart.
So he can learn the play book.
If he can hit open receivers,

Marcus Mariota is 6'4", not under 6'

Pretty sure he was referring to the 3 star Heisman comment.

I have hopes for him on the football field, and I do trust he is more talented than the scouting services gave him credit for.
But be that as it may, if he never starts, he is definitely going to be an asset to your program - on and off the field.
As much as I want to win and be productive, it is important to understand the added quality that comes with certain players and people. It is the same in the business world.
I am very happy he has chosen to play for the boot - I like the pride.
I have high expectations for L.S.

Why, bc I don't automatically buy in to the fact that an undersized qb, that was previously committed to the powerhouse known as Syracuse is best hs qb in the nation?

None, that's why I asked the question Einstein.

No reason to get arse hurt about it.

Below are Scott's highlights from the O-D All-American Bowl. May sound like a crummy high school all-american game, but they actually attract a lot of D1 talent. Many of the participants are 3* athletes. Jamal Pettigrew played in the game as well. Scott makes some really impressive throws.

Just announced.....
The three-star dual-threat signal-caller was honored by Parade Magazine as he received honorable mention recognition to the Parade All-America Team .
Scott completed 163-of-255 passes for 3,039 yards and 33 touchdowns against just five interceptions. He also ran for 1,963 yards and 28 touchdowns on 228 carries.
Amongst the other honors that Scott received included Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, Mr. Football in Louisiana, along with being named a MaxPreps All-American.
Scott was LSU’s only representative on the Parade All-America list.

We had, but lost to some mediocre team... Except this time we got him....this time we have the guy that other schools passed up, not knowing the talent in front of them...
I actually agree with you. In these days of CFB, aside from 2-3 schools (or coaches), you pretty much have to hitch your wagon for 1-2 cycles to one 5 star (or simply highly rated) QB; if he doesn't pan out, you are screwed, and their is so much emphasis on not "breaking" a kid like that. I'm not downing (or hyping) anyone here, but there is simply less pressure with the guys we have signed the past 2 years A guy like Scott (and to a lesser extent, McMillan), there is no pressure, there is no sense of entitlement. These kids have to work their way to where they want to be, and feel the full force of competition. Isn't that what we have been missing at LSU, A QB that plays as if there is no pressure on him. By the way, did you guys see the video of Scott after he signed? The kid was downright giddy talking about the other recruits in the class. I get the impression he knows he just has to give these guys the ball to make himself successful.
Moreover, with kids like this you can be a little less gun-shy about losing them in 1-2 years if they aren't the starter, and I think that is going to be the deferred payment from QB recruiting the last 2 cycles. Give me a guy like McMillan and Scott as a 4th or 5th year QB (even if they have never started a game) over a green QB like Franks or even Patterson. We have been missing that on our team, at every position, Senior leadership is why this team has underachieved, and we are slowly getting it back. You want to compare us to Alabama? The talent we recruit is really no different in terms of ability, but they have manged to have a SR (or at least 4th yr) player become an All American nearly every year for 8-10 seasons.
While Kwon Alexander was making a name for himself as an NFL rookie starter, Reggie Ragland was winning a National championship

hey yall! damn all the dumb shite! Lets get geared up to kick everybody's arses. Who we lost is who is lost. We got a top 5 recruiting class, and a QB who would be is 4 or 5* in Scott (-minus two inches in height). Today recognized by Parade All American. Spring practice. Summer Camp. Fall Camp. Then kick arse!

Dumb question, but is he related to former UGA WR Lindsey Scott?

I do not believe this to be correct.
