True, but Zachary won by 14... Parkway could have easily won if a different play had been called on the 4th downs....not trying to argue that at all... Zachary is a good football team mainly because of how good Lindsey Scott is

Was just told that this kid rushed for 265 in the semi final last week. threw for 133. IDK dudes. Had a 47 yd TD called back. Would have been 310 yds on the ground!

SEC has seen Lindsey Scott before. Run Lindsey!

We have plenty room to sign two QB's.. I don't see why Scott shouldn't be one of them

He is a very accurate passer.. He is just short.

------------------------------------------

So is Russell Wilson. He had a lot of success in two different Power Five conferences.

That 47 yd TD was not mutually exclusive either or in other words he did not just get the yards again on the same drive. That drive stalled after the penalty.

As I posted earlier this week, Lindsey needs around 250 and 130 yds passing and rushing respectively to achieve 3000/2000 yds in one season. That is insane!

Those numbers are doable but the Ehret defense is pretty stout.

Dad's Lindsey Scott that played for Georgia and Saints?

Height is so overrated at the QB spot. If you are in the 5'10 range that is more than good enough. How many on here would take Herb Tyler back as the starting QB?

I know his dad. Played college ball at Southern and played some pro ball in Canada. LS, Jr received some great offers....Harvard offered him, the military academies among those vying for him....Syracuse was his best overall offer balancing education and opportunity to play competitive big boy football.

I wish LSU would've offered him

I really wish LSU would offer him. I really like this kid. Could have a Matt Flynn vibe, late senior who would know the system. I'm in for scott!

NO, NO, NO, NO, and NO! He looks like a middle-schooler and nothing like a quarterback who could play in the SEC.

He's not LSU QB material...they won most games because everyone went deep and he took off running which he won't be able to do at LSU. The one good secondary they did face this year shut him down...

You put down Scott and while at it, you pretty much crap on every other secondary that they faced. You're so pathetic dude.

I still think tigers should offer this "GPOTY", athletic
can play the position, pull it down an run or a short game passer. Drew is doing fine at under six foot. Do the tigers need a long ball thrower who cannot hit the open short route
NO!! ..Keys to beating Johnny Rebs and
R-Kansas. Mix in victory over Alabama.I remember Herb Tyler years.

There are very few short was who have success. Sure breese and Wilson. However, they are the exception not the norm.

I remember herb Tyler too. His asset was his feet. Not his passing. He couldn't see over the tall oline, and he struggled to complete a ball across the middle or deeper than 10 yards.

Just remember Alan fanneca, a hall of fame oline man was on that team. We were much like today. Run on most teams and lose when someone shut the run down. Why? Herbs passing was a weakness not a strength. Always remember 4th and two against AU.

Watched the ESPN game. His starting running back left the game after the first drive. Watched him complete a lot of underneath stuff (slants etc.). 35 yard TD Pass on greedy. Was a one manned show in their only loss. But seriously, do think that was the only good secondary he faced? Some folk don't like the public perception of a 5'11 QB. I get it. But we all know, that a 6'5, and 2x MVP, he's suddenly SEC material.

Dos crystal:
We get it. Few short QBs have had success, due to coaches preference, not because of lack of ability. People like what tall looks like. Even though drew and Russell are exceptions, they can still see down the middle of the field. To do that, you don't have to be exceptional. A 6'2 QB does not see "over" a 6'6 lineman either, but btw passing lanes. If these guys are exceptions, perhaps a kid who was offensive MVP of the state last year (in the same year that Guice and Brosette graduated), and Gatorade POY this year, maybe he is an exception too. What do you have to lose.

I've said b4. I think he's better off somewhere else. Not because he can't play. But that this is not a QB friendly system. I defend this kid because I know that what drives these discussions is something that has nothing to do with football, but rather people's built in bias. But when your team is hoisting a national championship trophy, will you care how tall the QB was.
