He's from Mississippi. Not unusual he chooses a Mississippi school. Did he make a crazy decision based on our need at that position? Definitely. Tiger bait

I have a feeling that this is Chavis' legacy. A guy like this in a border state and we're in need of LBs for the future, and he does next to nothing on the recruiting trail.

Wouldn't surprise me. This is one area where Steele is a big upgrade, but we'll have to wait until 2016 to see it.

Very few players on the Moo State roster that are even offered by LSU

This is true. Apparently Leo is pretty tight with Dak and he convinced himof great things to come.

Rumors floating that he kept OM around as long as he did for "the network" support of his new baby. Apparently they gave ultimatium of no more payments if he took OV to LSU. Thus the decommit while on campus.

My source is a buddy who attended State and is friends with LEO's high school coach, so you know that it is all 100% accurate

This sucks. Doesn't change the fact this is still a great class though.

i'm honestly expecting a switch to the 3-4 over the next 2 years and we'll see some DEs be our rush-LBs

Mistake. MSU had their 1 big year in 15 and still in the end couldn't get it done.

Steele 0-1. Smh

I know he just got started but you could guarantee a kid could be starting and "the man" in less than a season and we can't pull in one LB. Turrible

Oh don't post 3rd-4th hand knowledge on this board. They'll jump all over you for it and tell you to GTFO.

I choose to believe this post is tongue-in-cheek. No way you could be this stupid.

Best of luck to the kid, wish he coulda been part of this class. We coulda really used any LB, let alone a stud of this caliber.

Shut out completely on LBs, ouch.

I'm wondering if B Mouton could possibly switch to LB. He would most probably be a red-shirt anyway so our staff could have ~2yrs to develop him. It looks like he has the size and athletic ability.

Not taking a single LB usually causes depth issues at some point so it would seem that we should be looking at one of the players in this class. Does anyone know if he's played any defense and if so at what position?

I am not a fan of a transition that is usually painful, and I thought there wasn't going to be much change in the defense.
