Not looking at his fastball speed, but I'd have to see him play 3rd base to really make an informed assessment..

So this guy will be here the 2016 season? Wow, didnt think Mainieri recruited THAT far back in high school.

The kid can flat out play. Tons of pop in his bat. Turtle Thomas saw him as an 8th grader and told him that he could always play for FIU. I would guess that Lenni projects as a 2nd baseman.

Watched him play in a tourny at Catholic this year and he didn't impress at all. His range at second sucked and he really just walked around that he was hot shite and produced nothing. Now it was only one game but from all the hype, he didn't provide anything to the LO team.

My kids play at Catholic and grew up playing with Lenni. You are grossly misinformed about this kid. Lenni is as humble as they come even though he had completely dominated at every age group. Ask anyone who has seen him play more than once and they will tell you the same thing. He will have to earn every inning at LSU, but he is a quality kid. Ask any McClure what kind of talent they see in the kid.

I find it very hard to believe Mainieri would offer and accept a commitment from a sophomore in high school if he wasn't one of the best players he'd seen.

These offers/commitments are not guaranteed as been said on this board before. It's basically an invite to try out for LSU. There have been players show up at LSU and then were placed in JUCO after fall practice. If it turns out a player isn't ready for SEC baseball it will all work itself out.
