Just a gut feeling but I don't see Finley sniffing the field at LSU for at least 3 years.

He will run over people like Cam Newton

I think he's more of a pro style QB like Russell was. Jamarcus was mobile, but rarely ran. It was a pro-style offense too so TJ may have more options to run in Brady's O.

As for Finley as a prospect, I think his HC has always been an option, run centric coach and he's tried to change philosophy to fit Finley's skill set. Brady and SE may be able to better utilize his strengths in our offense.

Exactly!!! Top team in the nation and some of our “genius “ fans still think they and their brain power are the only way to “save” the program from eternal ruin.

Wonder which QB is Hank's favorite, TJ or Mickey Joseph?

No such thing as a QB that is "too tall"

i really do not understand the negative sentiment around finley. At one point he was a 4 star highly rated pro-style QB. Kid has a big arm and could develop into jamarcus russel 2.0. So why is there so much distaste for him? Is it because he's a three star now? Or because he played at ponchatoula? genuine question here, I don't follow recruiting closely

Lester, I don't follow recruiting nearly as closely as some.

Why is he ranked where he's ranked currently? Hasn't put it all together yet?

Linemen are getting taller, a tall QB has a big advantage, if he is athletic.

His height would be an issue if it made him clumsy or uncoordinated. He isn't either of those things, he moves fairly well.

There are plenty of 6'6" humans that also move well. Look at an NBA game sometime.

And way more playing football. Go look at the number of players on an NBA roster sometime.

So now we're holding a QB's height against him? The kid is 6'6" and well built. Some people are acting like he's Manute Bol with an arm.

I’ll answer and take the brunt of the abuse from the posters.

TJ has been running this show behind the scenes.

What does have to do with anything? All that matters is if the coaches think he can play. For the record, Jeryl Brazil was also running things behind the scenes and how did that work out? The shite you people come up with priceless.

If he doesn’t start we always need a backup QB.
