You never stopped to think that because the kid has spent 12 years on campus he might just like to experience somewhere new on someone elses dime? I know that the normal non athelete kids from U High as a far majority go OOS or at least somwhere other than LSU because they have spent so long on campus they want something new. Why cant Tim Williams?

So I am the only person who thinks 4 and 5 star La. players going to Alabama instead of LSU is a bad thing?

When I looked up how many players overall, it seemed like a lot. Then when I checked and saw how many in prior years (1), it got my attention.
That's because you are only focused on 1 side of the equation. La players signed by Alabama. You can only have 85 guys on a roster, so to get those guys, we would NOT have someone else. since you are the one that said we need to keep La players whether they pan out or not, you are at least impling we should fore go some OOS guys to keep the ones you listed.
So trade Ware for Lacy, does that change either teams record? Of course not.

The OP's general point is valid: Alabama under Saban has plucked several highly touted recruits out of Louisiana. And try not to be completely delusional, LSU offered and wanted several of those players (Collins, Duvall, Williams, etc.) It's not a good thing to lose top in-state recruits to a divisional rival. Let's not try to pretend that it is, or that it is somehow immaterial.

Youre the only person that thinks we have to sign EVERY la born player regardless of how good they are or how successful they will be

I surely think we could make room for Lacy, Bell, Collins, and Williams.

The first correct thing you've posted in this thread.
You really seem like an unintelligent, butthurt hack that would rather denigrate the current staff over some silly little bullshite than recognize the actual reality of how things have played out.
If you are so intent about complain about this staff, take it to the rant. It has no place on this board.

Actually, the list of players is correct too.

Only if you consider where they began their career. Why don't you elaborate on how their careers panned out and where they ended up?
You're a fricking hack, just admit it.

You know some 18 year kids just want to get away for their parents and try something new so I don't fault them for that. It has also been pointed out that thru history their have always been kids leaving la to play football. there have always been 4 and 5 stars leaving the state and their have always been 4 and 5 stars leaving their state to come here. What is most important is that Miles has gone to other states to fill in the gaps nicely.
I think there are many things that you can criticize Les Miles on as you obviously want to, but talent evaluation and recruiting is not one of them. Think about guys like tm7 or mo Claiborne that were very underrated but Les Miles and his staff saw it in them.
Go back to the rant and talk about the offense game plans some more.

It's irrelevant. Those kids wanted to leave the state. LSU replaced them with kids better or as equally as talented.
This whole fence around the state bullshite is for suckers. Especially considering LSU cherry picks recruits from other states.
You argument is about as relevant as his.

Not gonna try to reason with you anymore. If you don't see the errors you made in this thread, you never will. This is why the rant is so unbearable now. Everyone sticks to their initial opinion no matter what information is presented and everyone just ends up pissed off at each other because they can't get anyone else to agree with them. But just so you know, in life, it's ok to admit that you were wrong. You aren't required to be infallible on every point you make. In this case, it is ok to just admit that you made this without giving it enough thought and now see why your approach here was useless. You don't have to go down with the sinking ship.

Other than Eddie Lacy, I'd like to know the "SIGNIFICANT" impacts the other kids made at BAMA.
This thread is full of BAMA a-hole sucking. Hope they move it to the Rant.

We could, but it means we'd have to do with out some one else.
Outside of Ware, all of our RB's are La guys, though Ware was a year after Lacy. Does Lacy add anything to our running game that Ware did not? No. He was good not special, just like Ware/Ford etc.
Bell flipped on NSD when Randle committed, story was we was going to who ever lost Randle. Randle was better. We did not sign any other WR that year. Maybe we would have taken both, maybe we only wanted 1. I don't see where Bell materially changes anything for LSU or Bama.
Collins, obviously we wanted, he is a great prospect. He choose to go to Bama. I don't know what else the staff could have done, the pressed him the whole time. Once they missed, they went out and got Corey Thompson, a good prospect in his own right.
Williams there have been many different rumors I won't repeat, but it seems he wanted to leave the state and either the staff cooled on him or back offed since he was determined to leave. Bama got in the game late, just last week 247 was reporting Bama people were surprised they pushed for him. He is a good prospect, I'm sure we coould have taken. However, we went out and got other good prospects in his place. so what's the problem?
