Maybe I missed the thread, but did we go after this guy? I know there is a lot of emphasis on Zack Evans and Clayton is saying he is going out of state, but Kyle looks like the real deal and he is committed to the gumps.

I’ve played against the guy. Good player no doubt. But I really don’t see him as an SEC level guy. Could be Saban trying to get in with Destrehan

Bama is recruiting other backs. If they can flip The OU commit or get another big name I wouldn’t be surprised if they move on from Edwards.

He's a good RB, but we are only going after Evans or bust seems like, if we add another RB besides Evans I bet they go for best scheme fit and push for the Ohio RB Drennan who seems like a really good all-purpose back.

Good player but saw him play a few weeks back. Should have dominated but barely had much of an impact.

Watched him play at Walker a few weeks ago and not very impressive. Walker DL is horrible and he did not do much.

What I am seeing here is that he is a group of 5 type back and not necessarily a good fit as a potentially dominate back in the SEC. If so, why is he rated as a 5.8 4-star guy? Is he riding the coat tail of John Emery?

Edwards is a good back and some of the LSU mods say he's the #1 back in the state, not Clayton
Unfortunate he was stuck behind Emery for years, but he's doing well this year.

Wrong man. That game he had 14 carries for 116 yards and 2 TDs just in the first half. They ended up killing the other team. He’s very talented and many mods who are familiar with Louisiana football say he’s top back in the state

Kyle had a hell of a camp at Bama and they offered.
It’s simple why we didn’t pursue him. He’s not as high on our board and our staff trust their own evaluations. Also it looks like we’re gonna land the #1 running back in the country.
I promise you that Bama would take Evans over Edwards.
