It’s amazing how easy it is to kick a field goal and yet this position is so plaqing. But then again, I’ve been kicking them since the age of 10 so maybe it’s just me.

It is you. I’ve coached kids as young as ten and as they get older and in HS it is second nature. It’s kinda like someone with a 3 handicap wondering why golf is hard. It is hard because it is hard.... you are simply good at it

Does what again? Normaly Saban doesn't go hard after kickers.

So he now using one for kicker. That’s one less big man he can’t have.

Give the top kicker in the country a scholarship or give it to a lineman that will be 3rd or 4th string his first few years at Bama. Yeah I'd rather Bama load up on 4* players that sit the bench than them having an elite kicker. LSU kickers cost us 2 games last year. That's why Orgeron spent a scholarship on a graduate transfer for one year.

That’s wrong, he frequently has scholarship kickers. Cade Foster and Adam Griffith were highly touted kickers for instance.

Kid's from Hoover, AL, and we thought we had him? Every prediction I see had him home bound for a while.

There are many kickers who can knock in 3 out of 4 from 40-49.

Yup. About half of the NFL kickers did that last year...wait...

You’re right, he’s talking out his arse.

Saban also used schollies to recruit specialists while at LSU... Chris Jackson, Patrick Fisher.

Dude, I’ve made from 57 into the wind, extra points with the ball laying flat on the ground in games, never had one blocked that still didn’t go through the uprights, forget hash marks; I make them from the sidelines. 1,000,000 people, no problem.

I wasted my talent, went to southeastern when there was no football, played semipro ball after college.

Back in 80s. These days I help coach kickers, enjoy watching my son kick in HS, and tend to following kicker/punter recruiting.

I need to do this. I’ve always thought I’d teach my son and he’d be a pro kicker, except I had all girls, lol.

Well I don’t have to tell you how bad the lack of coaching at HS is for kickers. I promise you could find a local HS that would let you volunteer coach the snap, hold, kick squad a couple days per week. A good head coach would even want on the sidelines during games to make sure everyone was focused on their me mechanics.

Very rewarding
