Khari Gee is out. Not going to LSU, at least from what I've heard. Supposedly we wanted him to move to LB or not come. He chose the latter.

You think it would be that hard for him to add 10-12 lbs a year and play at 220 by his sophomore year?

I think Gee would've made a really good LB.

6’3 220 is not big for an SEC LB. He would need at least another 10-15lbs

Ofc but we are also looking at an unfinished body/project. You can def see him putting on 30-40 lbs of muscle on his frame to play the OLB spot. Jacoby Stevens was like 6’1 200 out of high school and plays near the box more than anything now

Yes, especially if you expect him to keep Speed and quickness.

Just for reference of modern day LBs at LSU

Jabril Cox fits the mold of modern LB and he’s 6’3 233....48lbs more than Gee

Height and weight when they Showed up on campus

Patrick Queen 6’1 210
Jacob Phillips 6’3 228
Micah Baskerville 6’2 215
Damone Clark 6’3 218
Micheal divinity 6’2 220
Devin white 6’1 248

My point is asking a 6’3 185 safety to play LB is a big ask. Then expecting him to put on +35lbs and keep his speed and quickness??? Is it unheard of, no. But some of you acting like this is common or routine

often the listed weight is from an earlier date, maybe spring of Jr year, when the kid is just getting thicker and heavier in a good way.

Also kid may grow in college.

Some tests, like maybe bone density studies, can predict what to expect.

"They wanted him to switch to linebacker" seems like a convenient catchall excuse for every kid who's wavering or decided to go elsewhere. I hear it may be ND for both Gee and the late offered Diggs in the end. Waiting for someone to rationalize that LSU wanted to move A. Gilbert to tackle and that's why he opted out. The season and the gossip surrounding it has planted doubts.
