i really really want maclin.
I think USC is gonna be the wrench from a comment he made awhile ago.
And personally, I was more excited about claiborne than Bell. Even when we had Bell on board.

Kenny's a big part of our class, and Saban doesn't like to grey shirt athletes.
Fact is one of the priorities we had in this class is getting a slot receiver, and don't be surprised to see Bell get early pt. That's why we were trying so hard to get either Bumphis/Teague/Bell in this class, and with Bell's speed and height, and route running ability he'll be a good fit.

wow. i'm afraid to see what happens if he comes across and Chad Jones is barreling at him.
you guys must be hard up for WR's. what about the all-american's you guys signed last year?

The LSU coaching staff has known for weeks that KB was iffy at best and actually a 'Bama lean. No surprise there whatsoever, any childish actions notwithstanding.

I agree with Books but Rayville has put out some damned good talent over the years and pissing off coach Barton is not the way to go about trying to get in on future recruits.

Books, couldn't agree more.
Besides LSU, the way Bama is recruiting Bama will prolly sign 5-6 WRS over the next 2-3 years that are better than Bell and will have to eject him to make room for another 30 man class.
Sounds like Bama already has a verbal from a big time WR in Memphis already.

If you watched his video's you wouldn't feel he was as big-time as your post indicates. Good player along the lines of a Bell, not a Debose or Reed.

This guy is the biggest retard of all!!! As of know, at least JJ has a lot more potential to go pro one day. Kenny Bell, forget about it! He would have been average at best and then could have gone back to Rayville with a few SEC champ rings and one maybe two national champ rings and been a hero in Louisiana for life. But no, he gets lured over by that snake saban. What a dumb arse. You will ride pine at Bama, and you can forget about selling used cars in Rayville or coaching or whatever it is you want to do. You are the biggest sellout idiot. People would be talking more about him, but ole JJ is taking the spotlight off Bell. JJ is a piece of lying crap, but not a stupid idiot like this Bell gee money! Maybe Saban will help you get a job with the city in 4 years!!! Happy trails!

8 Julio Jones | 6-4, 210, Fr., HS [Bad arse]
82 Earl Alexander | 6-5, 216, So., 1V [Hurt most of his career but great size(starter when healthy)]
19 Chris Jackson | 6-1, 190, Fr., HS [playing db last i heard]
11 Brandon Gibson | 6-1, 192, Fr., RS [apparently over rated]
4 Marquis Maze | 5-9, 167, Fr., RS [great little guy[who Bell will be behind]
80 Mike McCoy | 6-3, 199, Jr., 2V [sucks, folds under pressure imo]
15 Darius Hanks | 6-0, 190, So., HS [Great Great hands, should be #2 in touches next year, if i had to guess]
1 B.J. Scott | 5-11, 188, Fr., HS [struggling, was hurt though but i think he ends up on D]
couple that with this year's haul
Kenny Bell WR 6-1 160 - 5.8 Rayville, LA
Michael Bowman WR 6-4 206 4.5 5.9 Rossville, GA
Kendall Kelly WR 6-4 210 4.45 5.9 Gadsden, AL
Kevin Norwood WR 6-3 180 4.55 5.9 D'Iberville, MS
so looking at that, the depth chart should start next year
1.Maze
2.Bell
If Bj gets moved to D or stays where he played last year, Bell should see time next year. If Bell is as fast as was reported, Id say there is a more likely chance he plays then doesn't.
Bell made a smart decision if his only concern was early PT. I haven't looked at who Lsu has playing at wr but i really doubt at Lsu he'd walk on the team and be a 2nd string receiver

Saban is going to have trouble recruiting on the I-20 corridor in North La.
But with all those December Recruiting trips to the Independance Bowl would go to waste......

Claiborne by a mile, mostly because his ceiling is greater than Bell's

You are the first Bama person that I've seen post that. Many said that Bama didn't have room for Bell. Of course, that was right after he canceled his offical there and said he was still solid to LSU.
Man, I wish he would play early at Bama because that would great for LSU but I seriously doubt he ever makes much of a splash there unless your recruiting flops, which isn't likely.

Yeah, okay. I have never been a fan of kenny bell and he is nothing special whatsoever.

this one stood out to me.
he's a huge steal for them?
Keep reading and he'll say that he knows nothing about Bell. Yet he's a huge steal?

I agree that this kid was a huge steal for us.

I wish I knew a little more about him, but I've only found one highlight video to date, and I haven't seen any combine results besides a clock 40 and a hand timed 40, so all I really know about him is he's lightning fast and skinny. He seemed to have solid hands and moved well in open space on the highlight film I watched of him, but, honestly, in one highlight film I wouldn't expect to see anything besides his greatest plays!
