When I said months ago that if CBK sees a running QB in the portal, he’d bring him in and Nuss would be QB2 again ….. I got shouted down.

Now look. Every day, another thread about some QB we need to bring in.

CBK likes having a running QB. And after JD5 ….. Nuss should be very worried.

Did you watch him struggle (relative to the competition) this season? I doubt he comes here because he wouldn’t have much of a chance to beat out Nuss based on his performance as a starter.

If we are looking for someone who has game experience and will come here without any promises about starting or playing time but is just getting the old standard “chance to compete,” that could mean we end up looking at a G5 guy who has several starts, has done well and had upside, and is looking for an opportunity to move up.

As much as some of you want to throw money at the next big thing, this staff isn’t going to do ANYTHING that will jeopardize getting Underwood to sign and stick. You don’t get to the 1 yard line with a #1 QB in a class and frick it up by getting stupid window shopping a bunch of guys who aren’t superstars, but want star money and treatment.

Kid is being lied to then. There is no such scenario at a good program. Ridiculous that it would even be a stipulation which leads me to believe it’s not true.
