I'd be curious to see if Dale Brown played any role in Hornsby's recruitment. I remember reading about the friendship between Dale Brown/Bill Walton/and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. I imagine that DB was familiar, if not friends with Bruce Hornsby from his years of touring with the Dead, so I wonder if that played a part in his recruitment...
