This can be a problem recruiting a 17-18 year old kid and getting them to move that far from home. Yes, some are OK with living far from home, but it can be a problem. That's the risks of recruiting OOS and TOO far from their home.

I agree...with no receivers not it seems like we should be able to get the three in state guys.

...and there went my favorite player in the class.

I really hope we get Boone now. Ambles would definitely be worth the gamble now that Hunter is gone, IMO.

We've been recruiting Wright,Reed and Fobbs all year.We may have amped up the efforts with Wright and Fobbs a little sooner without hunter and Davis but they are both better prospects.if you guys want to go forward with only LA guys that aren't as talented as some of the kids from out of state that we have a chance with then fine.Get used to be 8-5 every year. Were we supposed to take Frankie Jackson,Derrick Milton or Cetarious Donald over Ware too?How about Munchie over Lee?Ashton Duhe over Washington? How about we take a lb that no one knows over Maclin and Muncie? It doesn't make since to do that. Not if we want ot contend foe NCs in the future.Next year is loaded in state and we will take a bunch but we still shouldn't pigeon-hole ourselves to just in state kids.

if you were a receiver looking at the last two years on offense and crowton, would you honestly come here? if we had changed oc 2 weeks ago this might not have happened. kids want to have a chance to play if they are the best player even if they're only a freshman.

If I were reading the negativity of this site, I do not know why I would want to play for LSU. Most kids will understand that LSU had a young qb with inexperience, but our own fans don't, so our fans portray all over the recruiting boards how horrible our offense is and it will never get better because of the head coach and Crowton...blah blah blah blah. Instead of the facts. All top programs with qb inexperience struggled this year...oklahomo, usc, georgia, etc. But we make certain that the spin nationally is something other than having an inexperienced qb.

Second: This quote is wrong from the post above....

"Wright is good, but it's weird we waited so long to give him an offer. Obviously, he was nowhere close to the top of our list and was a fallback option."

The Wright kid is number one on our wide receiver board. He is the one our coaches coveted more than any other. He was offered early on, so I do not know where you got your belief that he was offered late. He has been the umero uno WR on our coaches list since last Spring.

I hear you on the inexperienced QB...

But 112th out of 119 NCAA teams?

Utter failure...

I love my Tigers, and I have faith we will turn the corner, but the SEC is brutal...and there is zero time for execuses.

How many starts did McElroy have at Alabama prior to this year? 0

He had 58 yards in the MNC game...so, they are a championship team with a below average QB...

We have bigger problems that JJ being inexperienced..

Next year, those excuses are out the window...starting this spring...

step up or sit down...this is big boy football..Time for a leader to take over the huddle with a will to win games

this is why i have a hard time getting excited for the 2011 commitments. everyoen freaking out about landry coming, yet we have nobody for 2010 and only one wr from 2009.

I dont like you. Yes losing davis didnt matter cus we had hunter and possibly one of the other guys on the list. Now I agree this is a rough spot to be in. I would bet anything we land another wr and everything will be alright again.

I honestly think you are happy these kids decommit. I know you are waiting to be the first to post if marsh switches again.

I really like hunter, but if he goes to tenn or uva i say his loss. Im not sold on tenn coaching staff yet, but i think playing at school like tenn or lsu would be better choice.... considering the wr talent that both schools have put into the nfl.

don't buy the negatiger stuff. all it means is lsu fans really do care and bleed p&g. the kind of fans kids want to play for. but fans don't coach.

Honestly, whenever a kid from Virginia drops LSU to look at Tennessee and UVA, I bet it is 95% due to location.

This is probably one instance of the passing offense not really being a huge factor. I mean his top two choices are catching passes from Tyler Bray or Phil Simms' frick-up of a son or going to one of the worst football programs in D-1.

Losing Davis hurts a lot more than Hunter IMO. With an injury this year we could really use an instant impact at the WR position. May even need it anyway. Davis IMO was a guy who could fill that role. Hunter not so much.

I like the brief bit I've seen from Tolliver. Him and Molton both did real well for the 2's last year in the spring game. Don't remember ever seeing much from Jhyrn(sp?). Hopefully he's a player.

But seriously Virginia has no QB whatsoever. Tenn. has Bray who i don't think is that impressive but many others like.
