guess the kid figures he'll go to Ala, if he blows out a knee this season, he has ol' reliable LSU and Les Miles to still offer him a scholly. (Sigh) I guess integrity, loyalty and being a good guy doesn't count for anything anymore.

Grasping for straws. NOTHING out if Hootie's mouth is bad for LSU. Simmons tries to imply a bit by saying he's being pressured to stay home. Monday when I talked to my guy Hootie was LSU.

Nothing to do with this situation but....The fact that Lane Kiffin, the most egregious, in your face douchebag a-hole was a very successful recruiter speaks volumes about the mentality of some of these kids being recruited.

If he watched the Ga. game he should see that early playing time is a lock at LSU.

He probably also knows that Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is going to the draft and saw a true freshman (Eddie Jackson) starting at corner.

So being the confident guy he is, he most likely thinks he'll play early wherever he goes.

Hootie is not a CB.

But Ha-Ha is... point being that early playing time shouldn't be an issue at either school if he's as good as advertised.

Not directed at anyone in particular, but this thread has reaffirmed that a lot of folks either need to amp up their blood pressure meds or stop following recruiting. Stressing over an article does nothing, especially when there are plenty of positives for LSU with Hootie. It's been said, but there really is no story-line with Hootie since he's been pretty quiet so I wouldn't put it past a writer to ask the questions that will make one, especially in an LSU-Bama recruiting battle.

I agree! Yes it would be great to have him but if he decides to go elsewhere we still have Paris and hopefully Brown coming in and guys like Martin, Thompson, Jefferson, Robinson, and White will keep getting better with more and more experience.

Yeah, my point flew right over your head.

- He is a safety.
- Clinton-Dix is a starting safety leaving.
- A spot would be open.
- A freshman can play (start) proven by Eddie Jackson at CB.

Hence why a confident kid like Hootie would feel he could play early, possibly start at Alabama as well. So that really isn't a deal breaker either side.

Yeah that was my point. Just saw this.

I don't think he went to bama with Robinson and Sims last week. If so, then that is huge. Raymond needs to get that secondary in order though. If they struggle all year, then other teams will use that against us.

This is laughable that we even have to worry about another 5 start going to bama instead of LSU. Especially since the players we put in the NFL at safety. I'm gonna end up getting banned before the season is over.

Why is it laughable? Kids are going to go where they want. Bama has done ok lately.

I'll try to take up the slack.

Gosh, I can't believe LSU has to compete for highly regarded players. Wah Wah Wah. I love hobbits.

Well....with the rate things are going no one can accuse us of paying kids in the nela area that's for sure.....with hootie there is absolutely no good reason to pick bama over lsu....at least c rob had the o line first rounder reason....there is nothing that bama offers that lsu doesn't....with the added bonus of repping the home state.....with the way that kid has come to games though I'll still consider him an lsu lean
