Trust me Saban is involved with the dirty stuff. He probably doesn't know every detail of the transactions(I wouldn't be suprised if he did though) but he points out the kids he wants. Did the same at LSU. The REC is just more willing to toe the line than LSU was/is but we still have our hands in the cookie jar.

If the truth about Clowney's recruitment and the lengths Saban and the REC went to in order to try to sway him ever comes out, you'll be amazed at just how detail oriented he is but yet not suprised at the lengths that the major programs go to trying to get these kids. Clowney's recruitment by Bama is the best use of resources, most detailed and just flat out remarkable set of circumstances I've heard of in recruiting and it's probably more normal than we'd think. It's already a legendary story amongst the insiders in recruiting.

i love the conspiracy theorist considering this situation at St Aug.

"trying to turn into a Bama factory".

"Crutchfield is some scum"

serious, where do you idiots pull this from?

Do you honestly think the top priority of this coach and his staff is to steer kids to Alabama? Come the frick on. Let the kid do what he wants. If he wants to go to Alabama, then so be it. It's his life, not yours. you weirdo fricks

If you really think nothing like this goes on at the high school level especially in the breeding ground of elite college recruiting your fricking delusional.

No the hire of Crutchfield was not for that. But how he got the job, the pull that Saban has and the influence he had on making sure he was at that school.. Yes shite like this happens and you are retarted to think otherwise. It's a bussiness.

So Crutchfield is at St Aug because of Saban? is that what you are saying?

outside of the Jones brothers, St Aug hasn't put out a good college player since 2000-2001. Yea, they are putting out studs though. yawn. stick to blowing shitty northshore players.

I've been arguing this for a while. I've asked for an example of a HS in one state that steers kids to a college in a different state (2 states over no less) but haven't gotten it. But apparently guys like Crutch or the coach at Grayson (nKimdhiche's HS) are much more interested in helping Saban and Bama, I think its the reason they got into coaching in the first place

What does this even mean? If you are saying Saban giving the guy a recomendation helped him get the job, OK, but sounds like you are suggesting more. do you think Saban wanted Crutch at St Aug so he could steer Fournette? Or turn him into a LB

Bama can still only sign 25 guys, I'm pretty sure Saban and Alabama can recruit and sign 25 top flight kids without planting coaches to steer guys from one school.

1 or 2 recruits will not make or break either LSU or Alabama. You guys are letting paronia get to you. I don't doubt there are dirty things that go on, including by Saban and Bama, but this is getting to be a bit silly about St Aug and Crutch.

the truth about Clowney's recruitment

Clowney was quoted saying he didn't even return most of Saban's phonecalls, going on to say he never gave the 3-4 much thought.

I want to hear this story.

Talk to a Coach from St.Aug and find out how silly it is.
