We need to get back to making Louisiana a priority. We missing out on homegrown gems chasing the big names from coast to coast.

If you only sign Louisiana guys you won't win many games.

Dumb. You need to recruit nationally to keep up with other programs who do so. Louisiana kids are important but ignoring other states will have us going 9-3 in perpetuity.

I’d love to have had Christian Harris and Major burns this year on defense....

I like that some people believe that an all Louisiana team could compete in the SEC year in and out. Yeah sure just say "frick Texas"

I hear E.D. White has a 185# left tackle that is still filling out.

Yes and no. Some positions you have to recruit OOS on a year in year out basis. QB, OL, LB all require strong looks OOS.

We’ve really only missed on Kaine Williams this year on position of need, that’s assuming Maason signs today.

If you want to be a championship contender every year this is not the way to do it. This is how you stay on the 4 year cycle LSU has been in. You can’t tie your recruiting class to the talent in state. Louisiana for one doesn’t have the number of recruits to do this and it also doesn’t produce enough QB, LB, and O line talent you need.

We need to go to the Midwest and recruit some of those corn feed OL. They seem to work out for Wisconsin Notre Dame and such

Ok

What about the OL?

Rudy Niswanger, Rob sale, Andrew Whitworth aren’t beating dow the door every year or every other year.

Where in my initial post did I say just recruit Louisiana guys. East Texas to Florida is our imprint. I know this.

I dont think that is bc/Wisc, Iowa, Notre Dame have superior talent. I think they have better technique. That is coaching on the HS and college level up there. Maybe LSU and other schools would benefit from more OL camps?

Union parish has a kid that would probably be a p5 recruit if not for a broken leg last year. He's 6'6" 290 lbs and has recovered from the broken leg to start every game this year. He is a mauler that is a little bit of a project because he needs to work on technique. He is a leader on the oline that has blocked for the #1 running back in the state.
