A person can get info from Orgeron himself, but if the recruit tells different coaches the same thing, you don’t know where they are going. Just a cautionary tale that has played out many times before.

Amen. Good post. Had to learn that for myself the hard way. And taking it a step further, sometimes what the athlete says isn’t necessarily in line with what the Staff told the Athlete. Unfortunately sometimes the Athlete will bend the truth to get clout even with those trying to help them.
