I remember being very excited about him comming out of Ruston. He went Juco in Mississippi and haven't heard much about him. Anyone have info on him? Could step in and play on this D right away.

Let me rephrase that for you since you have a hard time connecting the dots....comming out of high school he was a stud. He has been killing it in Juco...what RECRUITING info has anyone heard.
Based off of the depth issues we have at LSU in the front 7, it is not hard to assume a great player like Buggs could contribute here.
Dumbass.

I could be wrong, but I think I've read where he has another year of juco in front of him

He was a non qualifier, he has one more year in Juco before he can come home.

Isaiah Buggs has one more year at the JUCO level. He played fantastic. He had 8.5 sacks on the year and forgot how many tackles. He is now 6'5" and 275lbs. I told him if he gets any bigger he will be a DT, he laughed and said I will be on the end. I will make a few visits and watch him play next year. LSU is his top school after the JUCO level. Hopefully he will be at spring practice next year.

Good stuff. I was really high on him his senior year at Ruston.

That will fit with a 3-4 scheme, for sure. Particularly if he's athletic and has a good first step. The problem is - in a 3-4, even the ends need to be more space eaters/blocker occupiers than pass rushers, which may negate his strength - athleticism and speed at that size. I do think this kid has a bright future if he takes his academics seriously.

Very very athletic. I saw him at the field house last week. He was quick to inform me he had lost no speed or quickness.
He was an All State basketball player, very athletic

Yeah, I looked him up a few weeks ago and was very happy with the stats I saw. I really hope he's a part of the '17 class.
There is another JUCO kid from Louisiana that was a freshman this year, undersized end, but maybe could be a rush linebacker for someone. Quondarius Qualls is the name, I think. Looks like he was a WR out of high school. But he had ridiculous stats at JUCO this year.

Yeah I remember hearing about Qualls being a very good high school athlete up in the UP. I assume he'd be looked at as an OLB unless he had a crazy growth spurt.

I spoke to Coach Huff, the HC at MGCCC last Friday. I asked him about Brandon Martin. He was very complementary of Martin but couldn't quit talking about Buggs.

I admit he could play OLB in the new scheme. And he obviously looks like a good player and a good fit, but remember we do have some guys that are "DE's" right now that really would fit better as OLB or ILB.
Examples of guys that are on the team right now listed as DE's, but really have the size, build, speed, and experience at the college level for OLB/ILB, besides the obvious like Arden Key, Sione Tuehma, Tashan Bower, and Lewis Neal all could play some OLB/ILB, in no particular order:
1) Isaiah Washington 6'-4" 241 lbs. Fr.
2) Deondre Clark 6'-4" 253 lbs. So.
3) M.J. Patterson 6'-3" 223 lbs. So
With the hire of David Aranda, most LSU fans don't realize that we won't have a shortage of LB's. Most of these guys who have been pure backups to only 2 DE spots will now have a chance with OLB/ILB/DE spots available. It will be interesting if we can convert these vet's into LB/DE hybrids. I think they will be more than able and interested in doing so.
Sure we have great guys coming in, but most everyone knows that maybe 2 at the most 3 LB/DE will actually grasp the new defensive scheme and be able to start, rotate in, or play some immediately, but some will redshirt to preserve their eligibility and to give themselves a chance to learn the system and to compete the following year.
