Hey man, im just saying... I can't be the only one tired of them adding warm bodies just to fill in the DB depth chart and expect this team to get back to where it needs to be.
I rather them develop/play the HS kids they chose to sign if you're going to keep signing unproven Transfer Portal players.
___________
Would like to agree, but we have to take an honest and objective look at our roster. This is a win now time society. We have to address holes now. We fill those holes in the portal. We need safeties,, another starter at CB, help in the trenches, and more for the 2025 season.

At the very least he will be CB3 behind Pickett and Stamps. I think it is very likely he would beat out stamps for that starting Job opposite of Pickett for CB2
___________
You left out PJ Woodland. He will be starting at CB.

Stamps will never be a top cb in SEC
True story! I’m told that at first, Raymond wasn’t happy with what he had to work with. We might end up seeing a completely different CB room

He got to start 2 games and was their best CB in fall camp. How can they quickly make that judgement?
Because when he played he was burned toast

Why take a kid now that didn’t want to be here when we wanted him? And Stamps needs to be upgraded!

You got the film? I would like to see it

You give him a look if he is better than most of our current guys
How can you determine that? ...he hasn't played any meaningful football.

The chances they are ever able to build a full DB room organically like they used to is pretty slim
Jordan matthews is transferring because going into his 2nd year, Tenn recruited a pair of CBs in the transfer portal to start for them.
Does that mean he isn’t talented or that Tenn just knows they can’t afford the growing pains at CB if they expect to to win & compete right now?
LSU, and I’m sure a bunch of other schools are in this same boat year after year. More teams are commonly playing 5-6 DBs at a time. They are hard to find.
LSU’s team success is also always reflected by the in-state talent, and the same can be said for position groups. The DB crop since Stingley has not been great in Louisiana.

He's a 2023 recruit. He's going into his 3rd year.

Tennessee top 2 CBs were in the same 2023 class as Matthews.

He’s in his 2nd year right now

This is why I’d never consider being a college head coach if I was qualified. NFL is way less stressful and head coaches doesn’t have to call their players or do circus acts around the clock to convince players to come there or stay.

Most likely after Jackson from Florida before him.

Isn’t he young for his class too? Dude turned 19 this year and was running 10.66 100s as 16-17 year old. A lot of maturing and development between 18-22 and he has barely scratched the surface.
