That’s correct, but he made a logical argument for LSU and just came off as confident to me. I’ll add some cliffs:
-Burch’s actions on ESD show a no confidence vote against USCe.
-Shea said Muschamp is “likely gone after next year” also noted Muschamp’s qb son committed CSU yesterday.
-noted Burch living 5 miles from campus and having his mom work for the university.
-Shea asked rhetorically “if Burch was going to sign with USCe why wouldn’t he have done it on that day?”
-Went on to say LSU was and IS the only 2nd choice—Burch has gone on record saying LSU “felt the most like home” and “was the hardest school to turn down”.
-Burch came back on his own dime for an unofficial this last, where he got lots of attention from staff and Roy and Guillory. (On his official he got little time with staff/current players, but did get to experience game prep routine.)
-Perhaps most importantly—momma and fam came down to BR and got that good Coach O pitch.
...(interestingly, Burch has never taken an official to USCe.)

...Sidenotes: Shea expects to only take 23 next Wednesday. Said a spot will be left open for CamRon Jackson who “has academic work to take care of in spring—if he can hack it there will be a spot for him. Larando is out. Not a lot to say on Mickenly Jackson.
