I'm so over parents dictating where their kids go to school. I know I'm 1 person but my parents would never interfere with that kind of decision, especially considering there's a good chance I'll be making millions in 4 years anyway
How do we know you are not a parent? Hmmmthese decisions are much easier in the abstact than in eal life...............Ther is no one size fits ll. Lets stop criticizing teh parents and make this a moe inviting place if ther eis still a chance he migh still sign.

couldn’t be that I was mocking an obvious troll could it?
Is Jenkins still getting interest from big time programs Chalky? You know, since you know so much? Or did he sign with TCU like I told you he would

What the hell man? Learn some spelling and grammar.
Go listen to Emmitt Smith’s interview at his sons commitment. You raise your kids the best you can and let them create their own paths. It’s their choice, not yours.

Guessing you are not a parent. Good parents are involved in big decisions for their kids. Good kids accept input from their parents. You are not involved in the family discussions going on with this family. Your statements are dumb.

Even with Burrows Heisman speech there has been a lot of negative recruiting.
But I'm guessing Mama never heard Burrows speach to Coach O.

CEO should grab Joe Burreaux's mom and drag her along to the house and show her just how well we would take care of her boy and the support and love he would get.
For YEARS it was said that our best recruiter in South Florida was Rohan Davey's mom. Perhaps Coach O should bring her along as well.

I love that family! I bumped into Rohan a few times my freshman year and he was always very friendly.

most of Vols insider info is open ended comments that end in ellipsis

It isn’t that simple. There is being an active parent with a relationship with your kids that has the right amount of mutual respect in both directions and there is being an overbearing parent that dictates and overrides based on the parent’s wishes over the kid’s. I will say 100% that we don’t know exactly what’s going on here, but from the outside it looks like the Mom is exerting a lot of pressure on her son. Whatever the reason, the friction is evident and it’s out there according to real recruiting insiders.
I say this because I had an uphill battle when it came time for college. My parents were NOT on board with me going to school far from home. I had to win them over by showing that I would put in the work to get the scholarship money necessary to make it affordable. It took a lot of effort on my part, but I have always respected the fact that my parents recognized my efforts and that it meant something to me and were willing to compromise. A huge part of growing up is identifying what you want to be and where you want to be and pursuing that. It certainly was for me.
All I can say as a parent is that I hope that’s what is going on with the Burch family, whatever happens.

Maybe she thinks staying local is what's best for her son. When my son was 17 or 18 I did not think he always knew, and did, what was best for him. And several times I had to withhold, or threaten to withhold, support in order to get him to act responsibly.

SC is a dumpster and Muschamp won’t make it two more years.

"According to USA Today's salary database, Muschamp's buyout — as of April 1, 2019 — is $18.6 million if fired after Dec. 31, one of the larger sums nationally. That number is a gargantuan $22 million if he's fired before the season is over".
His teammate also committed to SC but didn't sign. SC technically can save about $3.5 million on Boom's buyout if they wait until January 1 to fire him. The kids might just be holding out to see if Boom gets fired.
