No insider info at all...but I definitely think Burch is a LSU/Clemson battle now. Looking at his twitter, he's very private with his recruiting thoughts.

Plus, Ika will be even better next season. May need to move him to DE.
You do know Ika is pushing 360, right? No way he’s going to play DE

Who? Mingo was actually one hell of a defensive end in 2011. That entire dline was amazing, actually. Every single guy on that line was a 1st round talent even if Sam didn't go there and Logan a 2nd. Sam was actually a damn good DE too I'd argue better than Mingo. He was just really good all around. Stout against the run and a good pass rusher. Mingo was just the freak athlete who jumped off to you on film.
The true beast on that line who held it all together was Brockers though. He was a disruption machine.

Maybe this kid sees how much of an impact he could make immediately.

After tonight’s game I’d be licking my chops to come play for this defense knowing just how bad they need my talents. Boy we need someone like him badly.

If Burch saw this game, and if I were CEO, I would call Burch tonight and say: “Jordan, we NEED you, and if you come, you play next year..Book it!”

Hope Burch ends up in purple and gold, he has awesome potential.....The Vikings signed Hunter to a fat contract, so they see something you don't. And while Mingo (still the greatest football name ever) might not be having the greatest pro career, he gets paid to play in the NFL....and remember he chased LeMicheal James, the "fastest man in college football" at the time, from behind.....so yes he was a freak.

After last night, we need this baw to give us the explosiveness on the Dline we desperately need.

Agreed.
That defense was so nice. I miss it.
Hell Lavar Edwards got drafted from that d and struggled to get playing time.
So good!

Our current DEs are slow because they’re really DTs. We need a true DE in the rotation. We had one in Thomas and now he’s gone. Even though Thomas wasn’t exactly dominant, he was good enough to get into the 2-deep.

People in this thread. Yea, let's put three 350 pounders with their hand in the ground and throw a 280 pounder at rush OLB.
All three dlinemen in a 3/4 defense play a 2 gap technique. You fricking clowns think the DE's are going to cover outside the 6 and 5 holes, they DON'T cover the outside. And they are not counted on to rush the fricking QB, thats why Aranda has OLB's who rush and contain the outside. Learn the fricking game!
