He's not good enough at baseball for a team to buy him out of a D1 football commitment.

You can parse words and play internet pedant about the definition of draft prospect. But there is absolutely zero reason to worry about him getting a big enough offer to bypass football for baseball.

So, effectively, he's not a draft prospect.

Can you post a single draft list for next year that has him in there?

you’re literally responding to someone who’s involved with the Baseball team, if he’s telling you he’s not a draft prospect it’s probably true.

Draft prospect is a pretty broad term. Less broad than it used to be. But still pretty broad.

“Plenty 91’s, 92’s 93’s with a feel for a change up” = draft prospect

What are we doing here

But Sunnydaze says he’s not an LSU caliber baseball player. Look forward to seeing which one is wrong. Love the people on here that just spew bullshite so people think they’re in the known.

Sounds like a juiced gun for that game. His max speed at any event you look up has been 90mph including this summer. He's gone to several PG events over the last year and topped out anywhere from 87-90 at 4 of those events.

I highly doubt a kid who threw 90mph last month is topping out 4mph higher a month later and comfortably sitting 91-93.

Those can notoriously be off by quite a bit depending on the angle you're at

he is directly behind home plate. Where should he set up for a more accurate reading?

I never said that he was. Obviously, he’s a better football prospect at this current stage.

Once again, never said that I was worried about him getting drafted high enough in baseball to derail his football plans in college. I responded to the guy that said he wasn’t a draft prospect for baseball, which he is. There’s not many high school kids that have his athletic profile who can hit and throw from the left side. Unless he tells teams not to draft him or he sustains an injury his senior year, he will be drafted out of high school.

It shows 2 completely different angles, so we dont know where he was specifically taking the readings he was showing. And again, these are some of the most unreliable radar guns out there for a variety of reasons.

This kid has been to 4 different PG events over the last year and topped out at 87-90 including 90mph on 6/22/24. Why on earth would you think he is suddenly hitting 94 and sitting 91-93 3 weeks after that based on a random dude having the cheapest pocket radar? That makes literally no sense. In the highly controlled environments with expensive radar guns setup which he's been to many times over he's never gone over 90. Whats the outlier here LE, think about it.

I don't use perfect game for anything except birthdays.

This is him from 1yr ago, topping out at 92. Not crazy that a kid who focuses on football may have fluctuations with his baseball velocity. Also not crazy that a big strong kid like him has the ability to throw a baseball 92mph.

So you think he literally increased his velocity over a 3 week period by 4 mph? Football would have nothing to do with this. Went from topping out at 90 in late June to 94 in mid July while also sitting 91-93.

At 4 different events he topped out between 87-90 over the last year.

It literally makes no sense

Maybe but I was just pointing out that the three he stated wasn’t the only 3 multi sport college athletes to ever succeed in both.

I never go by anything perfect game says other than birthdays.

I use Twitter for first hand accounts on all things like this. Says a lot about how you interpret information & data when argue against both instances which were documented with video proof. You are free to do what you choose but I cannot say I am shocked

I saw clips of him batting and made that call

I didn’t know he was a pitcher

I saw a clip of him bunting and a couple swings and it was some of the worst technique I’ve ever seen
