No, he hasn't gained a lot of weight since freshman year, just gotten stronger. He could play DE, but I doubt it with as much depth as we have there. He catches the ball well, when he keeps his eyes on it, has long strides but is deceivingly quick and agile.

I hope he doesn't turn into Matt Branch. Speaking of, why has he not broken into the 2 deep yet? Too tall? Injuries?

Great pickup if the kid can run. I always wonder why we haven't had these athletic >6'5 TEs in a while. They create the ultimate mismatch.

Matt Branch is currently wearing #79 and list on the spring roster as an OG. He played some mop up duty last year at left guard. He's listed as the backup there.
