Why did everyone think he was transferring?

RB is not like QB, where you lose the job and you’re screwed. Plus the starter is leaving and he had an opportunity to win the job.

being fourth on the depth chart, when you were the number one ranked high school player in the country at your position, is not the best place to be

emery jr was never going anywhere. curry was the one.. curry is not leaving now with all this evans crap.. i wanted evans in this class with emery plus davis price. evans has some serious problems and God removed him for a great reason.

John Emery
Just needs a full offseason in the weight room and to get into his comfort zone. It’s going to be thunder (x2) and lightning next year.

That’s just people projecting their own insecurities. There was never a single peep about him transferring.

Hopefully after we win the national championship our fan base won’t be so fragile.

Well now he knows that HS rankings don’t mean a darn thing as soon as you set foot onto a college campus. There are others with just as much talent as you and guys who’ve worked hard to get where they are.

In College the only thing that separates you from the rest is out working the players around you to maximize your own talents and even then you have to prove it against the best defenses that you play. He would be the most talented RB on the roster if he puts in the work on and off the field.

I’d like to see Emery and Davis-Price work on their RB weapons, like spin move, stiff arm, cutting, patience and the juke. Both have plenty of speed and power which will only improve with more time. I’m looking forward to who we sign in this class and the development of all our RB’s, including Curry.

Ask Darrell Williams, Duke Riley, or Deion Jones. They will tell you that success comes when you prepare for it and wait your turn.

Hard work is obviously very important, but that’s not what separated Bo Jackson from the rest. There are plenty of talented players in college who don’t work hard and still start because the talent discrepancy is so great.

Emery is the most talented back at LSU by a sizable margin. He doesn’t have to outwork everyone else; he just can’t be outworked by a lot.

Love this. I think this kid sees what could be. We all thought he would see more pt by now, but that doesn't mean he will not be an absolute stud in the next couple of years. We are loaded at RB but room for several stars in this offense. Burrow's downfield success was unreal this year and will be hard to repeat. That could very well mean even more yards for the RB spot, both rushing and receiving.
