John Emery or Noah Cain

Curious as to who everyone would prefer. It’s unlikley we would get 3 of the top RB’s in the nation, but likely we will get 2 of them. I know Emery as of late has been high on Miss. St. and Lsu has made a big surge for Cain. I think there exactly the same in terms of talent. Who would y’all prefer in this class?

Emery is the better back IMO. Emery and Davis in the same class would be ridiculous. Davis is vastly underrated.

That's tough. I think Emery has a bit of an edge, but I think Cain would be better at LSU than Emery at MSU. If that makes sense.

Cain is a notch below the other 2, but still a Top 10 back in country imo.

I don't care as long as they get one of the two.
Some discount Davis, but I think he'll be the real star. But I don't think Emery and Cain are very similar. Too me, Emery is more the home run hitter, the shifty, scatback type guy where Cain is more all-around back who can go wide or inside, like Davis.
Davis and Cain would be Thunder and Thunder where Davis and Emery might be Thunder and Lightening.
That said, it looks more and more like Emery would rather be the guy at MSU than one of the guys at LSU. Makes no sense to me as more and more the NFL likes guys not all used up in college. But Cain is flirting with Texas and Ohio State.
As long as we get one of the two. I'm not overly excited about the Plan B guys like Barlow, Carter, Spivery, or any of the others.
It's Davis and Cain or Emery or bust.

Emery is a rare talent and if he is paired with Davis here, that’s along the lines of having Fournette and Guice in the same backfield. Tyrion reminds me a lot of Jeremy Hill coming out. Some people overlooked hill because of Kenny Hilliard, but hill was absolutely the better back. Davis has that chance to me.

Some good insight, I think I’m with you on that. We definitely need 2 of these 3, it’ll be disappointing if we have to get a Mike Hollins type guy because we miss on Emery or Cain late.

Does Emery pushing back his decision date mean LSU is fighting hard to make up ground?

Very much so. Mom has always been pro-LSU, and Dad was the one we were trying to convince. Dad is coming around, but still has MooU in his ear, too.

quote:makes plenty of sense. Emery is prepared to take the physical beating but Cain is. No way Emery is thinking right if he means what he says. Either way, no rb should be seeking to be the sole load carrier.
but I think Cain would be better at LSU than Emery at MSU. If that makes sense.

Sounds like Jamarr Chase 2.0

We definitely have to have 1 of the 2.

Let's just take all 3.

Billy Embody with 247:

"I got a few schools that are in the mix right now and I plan on committing around August," Emery told Geaux247. "Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Tennessee and LSU."

He must read the recruiting board and trying to get his kid some buzz since it's been all Emery around here the last couple of days.

We'd love to, but don't get your hopes up there.

Love to What?
Is this a situation where Cain is wanting to commit and they are telling him to hold off
