Why do you assume he'll commit to Bama?

Actually, Hootie was Neville's lock down corner this past season. When Diarse was inserted on defense, he was usually at safety. But who knows what position Hootie will be playing in two years. It's likely he's got some growing to do.

Because in a lot of our fans minds lately we just can't beat Bama at anything. We might as well just close up shop and focus on water polo as the major sport at LSU. Those people are living in as though the world only revolves around what has happened in the last month and give no credit to history. Basically they have the little dick syndrome.

Mainly due to his tweets during 1/9. He was very pro-Bama. I've been talking about this kid on here since his freshman year. I didn't believe the posters saying he was all Bama. The tweets that night were disheartening. Still a long way until NSD next year.

When high school teammates say Bama you tend to think they have a good shot

As long as we get Jefferson I'll be happy Diarse isn't nearly the impact player that many think he is.

Right.

Kid can play WR, CB, or S equally well. The lack of speed comment is bullshite. He ran a 4.48 at LSU's camp in front of Sonny Shipp and the LSU coaches. If he didnt have the speed he wouldnt have an offer from LSU or Bama. Neither team offers slow skill players. He's been playing out of position for 2 years now so all the "hes reached his ceiling" shite is garbage. He hasnt even begun to develop yet. He's playing on athleticism and instincts. Cant teach either. As for the John Williams comment, if you want to see the next one just look at Lamar Louis. Another overrated camp superstar from breaux bridge. He wasnt even the best LB on his high school team not to mention hes about 2 inches shorter than listed.

You think Diarse has hit his ceiling physically? What are you, a recruiting guru/foreseer? How do you know about this guys future physical development/potential?

I was thinking Diarse hadn't even touched his floor, much less ceiling considering he's been out of position the last 2 years.

OH God, what will we ever do?Why is this guy such a concern? He played QB at Neville and is built like a linebacker; he doen't seem to be too fast. What am I missing?

He has talent. I believe if he plays strictly defense he will turn into a hell of a DB.

He isnt a "can't miss" IMO. Lsu just has a problem with chicken little fans like Paulu and the rest of his ilk that think the sky is falling everytime the word Alabama is mentioned. It's a sad existence but those people choose to live that way.

If I'm praising him that says a lot. Neville/WM is like Bama/LSU. I was raised to hate all things Neville and even I can see this kid's potential. He's a bigger Paul Turner. He WILL be a starter in the SEC.

It is a long way to go before NSD 2013--we're still a few days again from NSD 2012. Let's not get carried away about Diarse yet. He'll get his Tiger offer & if the team has a great 2012 season, the Tigers should be in good shape with him. Let's not assume every top LA recruit that gets a 'Bama offer is going to jump at it.

Don't give up on Turner because he had to redshirt.
