Question about Jeremy Liggins... now i know we have a beast RB in kenny hilliard and Spencer ware who can pound the ball inside the 10 yard line and we love to use them when were in the red zone. Now i was thinking about how we could use Liggins right away and it made me think of how Oklahoma uses that big white 6 foot 5 QB in the redzone to run the ball... I know Mett isnt the fastest but watching Liggins film i was pretty impressed with his quickness. Could yall see him maybe playing a role inside the redzone with running the ball like OU does? Just wondering

possibly, he should be pretty tough on some QB sneaks.

If he gets around a solid 260 meaning mostly muscle I think that will be good.

why are you afraid to throw the ball in the redzone?

If I recall correctly, Miles used RP in such roles during the 2007 season.

Definitely advantage to just run power with the QB because it frees up an extra blocker. Mett standing 10 yards behind the play after handing it to Hilliard would be replaced by someone blocking for Liggins. I'm sure they'll entertain the thought. I've never really paid attention to the formations OU ran it out of with Bell to be honest.

With JC Copeland as the lead blocker? That would raise the bar so high on a violent running scenario it might be declared illegal.

I heard Liggins move good and smooth for a big man, but does anyone know what they have him timed in the 40? Just curious.
