does anyone know how good Corey Avrard's son is at Jesuit?

I saw him pitch for the only time a few days ago against Catholic-BR, and he got hit around pretty hard, but his stuff looked really solid. And, judging by his stats, that game was an anomaly and he usually does quite well. Good pickup.

I saw him pitch also at the Catholic game; he started. He had great numbers going into the game, but he really struggled and gave up around 5 runs in 3-4 innings or something like that.

This happens in baseball especially with pitchers. You won't have your best every day especially as a high school pitcher.

Holy Shite, Corey has a kid in HS? Dang, I'm getting old.
Too bad Corey never made it to LSU, btw, you're right, an absolute stud.

The best pitcher I have seen this year is a kid named JP France from Shaw High School. Decent velocity and a very good curveball. He also had good location. I saw quite a few pitchers this year including top recruits and he was overall the best I saw.

Put this kid with Dunn and he's going to be a stud. He hides the ball until its release. You could tell he wasn't quite on his game against CHS-BR, but even his first two innings or so, they would swing at anything he threw up there because they had no idea what was coming.

I saw him pitch earlier in the year. He doesn't throw hard, changes speed, and has a good change up.
He is left handed and I see him as a reliever in spots.
He threw well when I saw him, and his team backed him up with some good D. Gave up one run in seven innings with four hits and two walks.
Showed good poise and kept hitters off balance.

He's coming on TOPS and won't count against scholarship allotment.
