Just a huge Notre Dame fan? Catholic family?

The kid will be going to the school he's always wanted to attend. Will get a fantastic education as well. Congrats to him

If we're not gonna get him, I'm glad he's out of the SEC. We probably won't ever have to face him and now don't have to waste time recruiting him and can work on someone else.

Great alumni network nationally. Can't really fault him besides the fact that he won't play against the best

N.D. is definitely back as a national recruiting power!

if it wasnt for rudy, some of these kuds in the south wouldnt even know what notre dame is. none of these kids were alive when they last won something.

Can't blame him if he was raised to love ND and wants the strong academic reputation. But ND was a pretender last year. Most of the big teams they played/beat last year were having down years, but the national media is always in a rush to declare ND is back. It just set them up to be a sacrificial lamb to Bama. I think Georgia, SC, A&M and a motivated LSU would have all likely put a pounding on ND.

Two more seasons before he can sign.

Going to Notre Dame qualifies him for a future spot on the LSU Board of Supervisors, like Rod West from Brother Martin.
Kinda messes up the notion of leaving the State hurts your chance of success when you come back home...still scratching my head over West.
