The On3 guys, say he’s taken 2 officials so far.(Mich & LSU) Ohio State and Oregon are getting officials and the Texas schools will battle it out for the final one. I’ve never heard or read anywhere about him having interest in OU.

I'll just say this. He doesn't seem to talk much with recruiting services. They don't have much to go on. He does talk to his teammates. I trust what they say more. That's what was passed on to me.

I am not offended. There's plenty of people that talk out their arse on this board. Frankly, the only reason people are listening to me is because I said LSU was his favorite long before anyone else had any idea LSU was even in the mix. That was back in March.

We might have to wait a bit before it's official though. He hasn't had much opportunity to travel. So he's going to enjoy his visits. I don't imagine he's going to commit until those are done. No real reason to. I don't see those as much of a threat though. He really liked LSU before his visit, and he really felt a connection on his visit. So, we are way ahead of the competition. He would have to be completely blown away on a trip to change his mind and I don't see that happening.

...And apparently he took a trip to Michigan because it was pretty.

Aye Aye Cap'n! I am passing on what I hear. It's just a little strange. Usually the recruiting services are on top of everything. But with Tovian, everyone seems starved for info. My little back channel seems to be about all the info there is to be had. I am not supposed to be an authority, man. I'm supposed to be making bad jokes and snide comments and getting downvotes.

I might hear some more though. Tovian is the school celebrity, and his recruitment is now being discussed openly at the school by everybody. Most of that is just noise, but every so often someone closer to the source will shoot down some disinformation. That info is typically worthwhile.

One of Toviano or Ricks is imperative IMO to goo along with Austin.

I have long thought it would be a Toviano/Austin combo.

Ricks obviously has interest in LSU, but I have a hard time seeing us landing him too. I think he will end up going with the highest NIL bid amongst his top schools.

Just don't see LSU matching.
