If he chooses AU because of NIL he is being penny wise and dollar foolish.
I remember him bringing in tons of legit WRs at Ole Miss (Dk Metcalf, AJ Brown, Van Jefferson, TE Evan Engram plus more), and he DEFINITELY has a type. Almost every WR listed in his last season was 6'2-6'3 and 190-200lbs. So he has the pedigree, it's just, what if he's let go this year?

A WR that had been middle of the pack at best at Penn St for 4 years goes to Auburn and has nearly 1000 yards and 8 TDs averaging over 19 yards a catch. The next two leading WRs were true freshmen. One had 40 catches for 450 (the slot guy), and the other, the guy they list as a top 2-3 SEC WR, had almost 600 yards and 8 TDs averaging over 16 yards a catch. He's the carbon copy WR that Hugh Freeze wants. Then he went into the portal and got that WR we were going after from G Tech. He's been clocked in the 4.2s

Auburn’s WR room is actually pretty stacked. Wouldn’t be shocked, he’s worth more to Auburn than he is to LSU

Yet, LSU has a long-standing track record of sending WRs to the league while also winning games and being relevant in the national title discussion…
