I noticed that neither one attended LSU's junior day this weekend, though I think both were expected to be there.

Seems McCoy was at Ole Miss for the second time in three weeks. I imagine most people figured his early, out-of-the-blue commitment to LSU was unlikely to hold. We'll see.

Beryman was at Mississippi State. That was surprising to me, but maybe he just wanted to go someplace different for a weekend. I still think he will wind up at LSU.

Commit to lsu to get higher checks from other teams. Commit to other teams to get higher checks from lsu. These kids are just taking free vacations man. Some of em get paid just to make visits. Can't blame them. I wish I could've been making 10k a weekend when I was a teenager.

Potentially Losing the 2nd best D-Lineman in the state to Mississippi State?

That’s pretty surprising to me.

If you’re talking about the other kid, yes, he committed to LSU to get a bigger bag from ole miss

Makes no sense to follow recruiting in 2025

We can follow recruiting, but i'd advise everyone to not get too emotionally invested. Games were played prior to NIL amd the portal, now there's absolutely no honor or commitment when it comes to money, at least for some. Some recruits are going to be straight up the whole time. It won't be hard to figure out who is who.

Nothing should suprise you, it is what it is. The good news is, LSU still seems to be putting together some pretty good classes regardless.

Some of yall just sit around looking for something to cry about. Kid commits early elsewhere; Welp that's over Peoples gotta step it up
Kid commits to LSU: Means nothing holding out for more money from another school
Kid cones to junior day: No posts about him, will instead search for guys who LSU wants that visited elsewhere and cry over them
Kid takes in another visit : Used LSU free vacation money I wish it was me, no loyalty, we suck, LSU is broke. No I don't donate to BT but I can still cry about it

There will be bigger junior days over the summer at camps. This one is really to hand out new offers and sort of kick off the new cycle and “start” 2027 offers imo

In terms of importance, this one isn’t “the junior day” to attend. It’s the summer one

Treat recruiting like someone would stocks and crypto. Take your emotions out of it.

Signing day is forever away. Deals will come and go. I don't follow recruiting very deeply because until they show up next year, who knows what will happen?

Considering that Ole Myth has no track record of paying well for defensive HS recruits under Kiffin, I highly doubt he ends up there, even if he isn’t swing back our direction later in the process.

lol, ole miss certainly will pay top dollar for defensive players. Walter Nolan was making around a million dollars for them last year. Trey Amos was paid a shite ton by them last year, Perkins their OLB makes about that much also. Kiffin will definitely pay top dollar for defense.
