Damn I love seeing Roy standing by the legendary Glenn Dorsey. It also looks like he is in fantastic shape. Trim but thick and muscular. He certainly Looks the part of an elite interior disruptor.

Those are called “slides” not flip flops. They are worn with socks because they’re made for athletes to use after they remove their cleats rather than walking around in socks or putting on sneakers.
They’ve become a status symbol that say “I’m an athlete”. Cleats are not comfortable, slides rest the feet.

My 10 year old lives with them on. After any game that involves a cleat he has them on his feet about 40 seconds after the game ends.

Roy has been on campus a bunch this past week, almost feels like he's still committed. Kinda reminds me of Stingley last year.

Just to make it abundantly clear...I want Roy in this class, he’s built like a stud, and I think he’s gonna live up to his build...I even gave y’all the word from my sauces that Roy and Gill will both end up Tigers. Like another poster my sauces are myself and my neighbor who thinks hollering “homerun!” when the Tigers get a FD is applicable.
Don’t take this shite too seriously it’s bad for ur health...have a laugh on occasion. Idgaff if the kid was posing in speedos and ole school Chucky T high tops at the end of the day if that’s how he wants to dress and he wants to be a Tiger, come and put on that yella main...GT

Yeps.
These became very popular in the 90s particularly at soccer and little league tournaments where players put on and take off cleats several times a day during a weekend. The Slides are big sellers at the Merch Tents at tournaments for that very reason.
You'll see that look on athletes from Little league Fastpitch Softball to HS Track Meets and even International Pro Rugby 7's tournaments
