Jaiden Ausberry Question

I'm sure this has been discussed before - my apologies. Obviously, Jaiden committed to Notre Dame, which, I can understand. He's a local kid that went to U-High on LSU's campus. Verge works for the LSU athletic department, and I presume Jaiden wanted to get out from under that shadow and for a change of scenery.
I know he's a 4 star, and that LSU recruited him, but for you recruiting experts, was this more or less a "consolation recruitment"? You never want your local kids to leave, but were we really pushing for him, or was it just kind out of respect to Verge? Is he that talented in your opinion?

Yes, he's talented. No, it wasn't a consolation recruitment.
Verge encouraged his kids to be their own individuals and go where they wanted to go (which I know pisses off a lot of people here).
While neither son chose LSU, one positive that came out of it is that Verge saw how other schools recruited, gained some insights and was able to bring some of that back to us.

I think this will be the case for a lot of highly ranked kids that leave Louisiana

LSU wanted him. The portal sure has been kind to BK….

Yea I’m sure LSU needs Verge Ausberry’s input on recruiting strategy because his kid chose Notre Dame over LSU

Kid got a major pass while everyone shite on Many and Tackett Curtis every 30 seconds

True but I think a lot of that was for 2 reasons. The perceived hate from the former Many coach, and here in particular, the relative that was here trolling, riling up the masses. He got as much as he gave but the hate was set in at that point. Add in the USC/Riley angle and it was ripe.
Helped as well that Ausberry made it clear he wasn't going to LSU very early. Those types tend to be given a pass for the most part. Jerry Tillery is another example though Ed O almost got him.

Neither of his kids choosing LSU makes you wonder what was going on in Verge’s home. Doesn’t seem to be fan central exactly.

Verge is living on borrowed time, he is just stealing money now and needs to retired now

Maybe HE can be recruited to other schools. Time for Verge to go...

If Verge is at any other school he gets canned for what he did,
Woodward has been his biggest advocate and true friend- would have been nice to have his kids play here. Cant help but think Verge encouraged his kids to go elswhere.

Of course he did

Verge's kids wanted to grow up outside of dad's shadow. There's nothing wrong with that. I never wanted the same career path as my father, so I understand it.
