Umm well what I’m wondering is why isn’t LSU willing to match or beat whoever out for an elite athlete of his caliber out of their own back yard?

I mean this guy is the #1 recruit in the ‘26 class at a position of need and they just gonna let him walk? Brian Kelly and LSU pisses me off with this shite sometimes.

No offense McKinley is going to be a great player but Stewart is a once in a decade type player. He’s that good. Like Clowney out of high school good

Nah man you don’t just let elite players like Stewart go. I don’t care how entitled he is, if he came to LSU he’d probably be LSUs best Dlineman on the team the minute he steps on the field.

Well…I thought Korey Foreman was our biggest miss in quite some time. His high school film was frightening. We saw how that turned out. Maason was not the force we thought he’d be. Not saying Stewart will be the same. He could be a terror. But you never really know. I happen to love the future of that DE room with Cobbins, Relifrod, & Shanklin.

I want the best for this young man and only want players who love LSU on the team.

Sometimes players want to leave their home states like PP7 and SVP. We should continue to recruit him until the end and if we come up second than maybe we can get him out of the portal.

This young man is an elite talent, but him signing elsewhere will not break our program. Bo Davis has been killing it on the recruiting trail and the freshman class on the DL has some really high character guys.

Tell us what you know about them "letting him walk". Is there any indication we are not recruiting him very hard?

I suspect the winningest active coach in college football has his reasons if he doesn't pony up the money. Is one DL worth signing 4 other studs? Stewart is asking a ton of money.

You know they can’t force him to stay at St. Aug and sigh with LSU, right?

There’s obviously some weird shite going with Stewart. LSU has been recruiting him heavily for years, reportedly has NIL lined up, they’ve done everything right, from what we can see.

It is what it is

You know he had a job before USC, right? The recruiting part is based on the fact he did get 2 5*s from GA to commit earlier this year. Them decommitting wasn't on him.

Yea, 1 year at UTSA. That’s his college experience.

He didn’t play in a regular season game, hearing Karr is where he’s headed

Not sure how he’d be eligible at Karr, but that’d be much more favorable for LSU, obviously.

If he doesn’t want to be at LSU what does any of this matter. I dont care if he’s the top player. NO ONE on this board knows if he will be any good. Lineman are a different thing. Don’t care what the wanna be geniuses on this board think. If he do t wanna be at LSU then I couldn’t care less about him. That’s just the way it is. No one player is going to be the reason we aren’t successful.

Rashard Lawrence
Ed Alexander
Tyler Shelvin
Phidarian Mathis
Ishmael Sopsher
Jacqueline Roy
Jacobian Guillory
Maason Smith
Quincy Wiggins

All top 100 ranked DL from LA since 2016 that have been around enough to form a conclusion. A few in there we just knew would be elite. Show me 1 that lived up to expectations? When do we accept that LA DL aren't what we think they are?

Stewart isnt anything near Clowney. Or Myles Garrett. Or Joey Bosa. In fact, side by side with the Jackson kid committed to Texas(his brother started his career here) earlier this year, same general size, far different athletes. Jackson runs circles around him athletically. Clowney would clown Stewart side by side as 17 year olds. The next Clowney wouldn't be projected maybe top 15-20 in the 25 class as Stewart has been projected by those in the industry. 247 has him 12th in 26, below Lamar Brown. Hype is indeed a drug.

He lives in Karr district, but IMG is offering serious money. Family unsure if they want to move for just a few months.

Interesting. I asked earlier if he still lived in Reserve, guess he’s in Algiers.
