While I’m really glad that Mr Woodward is now our AD, let’s give credit to Coach O and Meatball. They get blamed if a player wants to go out of state, but barely get mentioned if we land one.

And I while I agree with you in principle, it was just last year that we lost the top DL in the state to Bama. Last...year. This year the top DL, having decomitted once, is considered by most recruiting pundits, including the Alabama guys, to be a Bama lean up until recently. Woodward arrives 3 months ago, and Roy recommits a few months later. Yeah, coincidence I'm sure.

I’m thankful for all who made this happen, but I stand by my comment that the coaches are the primary reason. Just thought that they should be mentioned.

So objectively it looks like Woodward is having an impact, but my question is ... what is he changing, from a compliance standpoint, to bring in these recruits?

his ability to galvanize private donations has been lacking since Saban left. Having Roy recommit tells me all I need to know about the future of the football program.

That's code right?

Wondering if a certain individual with the program once again would have the connections to send a message... a message along the lines of a certain barber's shop burning to the ground, purely by accident of course, tragically from an electrical fire...

Of course, I would hope something so terrible would never happen to anyone.

I call bull crap. He def did have something to do with making sure others kept their cheating hands off him. Kid loves LSU. He and his family are not Bama fans at all.

Bingo hojo...you can tell who understand the ins and outs of recruiting on this board.

They understand what I mean when I say LSU will close better now. O has always recruited hard. More of an even paying field now than before.

It’s more about the behind the scene issues. We have a AD with nuts so nobody will walk all over us on recruiting trail any longer. These other schools fear what our AD will do or say, he has been around the block a few times not going to let them shite on us any longer. And

Why does everyone like him so much... Position of need has to be alot of it

1) He is a local kid who has excelled for 3 years.
2) We will be losing our top defensive ends next year.
3) He did not go to an opponent in the SEC West.

Position of need is hard to call. We have numbers, but some of the young guys need to develop this year. Our DL has not dominated in the last few years, so changing that is the most important thing through recruitment and development.

And all Tiger fans are tired of having top DL leaving the state to go to Alabama.
