Booom!!! We comin back!!

He's not a 1st Round pick or else he'd be in the draft this year
He's probably a day 2 guy next year which is plenty good enough. Instant starter here given our situation

Welcome aboard JC....

Looks like a great pick up.
The question is: Does he cost us a recruiting spot to play 1 year when we could use that spot for a 4 year player? He counts against last years recruiting class, right? We don’t get that spot back next year. Seems like you would only want some stud who is going to guarantee to be a game changer to use a spot like that. Hopefully I and not understanding this correctly.

Given the circumstances this pickup is probably more important than ever before. He’s an experienced player who can step in and play the 4-3 without as much necessary practice as younger guys.

It will suck if the season gets cancelled and we won't see him play
If the season is cancelled the NCAA would grant all players one more year of eligibility.

Hell yeah. Dude is an absolute playmaker.

We lost a lot at the LB position, so one year or not, he’s a great pick up.

I think that’s what Mike D said about JC. If anything, he adds some much needed depth.

Huh? LSU is UNDER the 85 roster limit and signed under 25 in just completed class. Thus, he is a essentially a freebe...costing LSU NOTHING! He will drop off the 85 roster count after this season. So yeah, to be brutally honest, your comment makes 0.00 sense.

I agree with this. IMO, right now he looks like to me a mid to late 2nd round pick...hasn't played a down of FBS football but his highlights show talent that transfer to any college level. He has speed, size, hitting ability, agility, runs well on his INTs, and seems to have good instincts. OUTSTANDING pickup!

I was looking for Boosie!

He counts against this years class.....which still has 2 open spots. You don’t turn away the absolute best LB in the nation that entered the portal. LSU just replaced NFL talent with NFL talent wanting to further prove their worth.
