Too bad that's nowhere near the truth. There wasn't any "stage"; Janzen signed his LOI in the football coach's office with the coaches, his dad, and a handful of media present.

For what is worth, here's my take: Miami of Ohio is located in Oxfore Ohio. Appers to be about a 2.5 hour drive from UT. I believe JJ just wanted to be close to his dad.

IMO - That would make sense except for the liar dad is a coach and would not have any time to even make the trip if he is recruiting or doing his job and coaching. There isn't much downtime for an assistant.

This guy obviously doesn't know the whole story. First of all, he didn't even announce in front of a crowd. This guy apparently doesn't know $hit.
And the reason LSU and his high school class mates were upset, is because he, his dad, and Kiffin, were low-life liars. They didn't kick Miles in the balls, they simply acted like scum-bags. Now that's class!

Dude, check your map again. I know cause I lived in Cincinnati for a while after college and Oxford, OH is just north of Cincinnati. It is about a 7 hours drive from Oxford to Knoxville. Not a factor. Only factor is UT will hire Jackson's dad next year. Didn't do it this year to avoid the bad PR of hiring him just before taking his son's signature. All is fair in love and war.
